  1. Not the first time there’s been nudity on the radio.
A radio play was set in a sauna, where massages were done. To get the sound effects right, the actors stripped off.
Not the same as “exposure” though.

  2. Can’t see the story but I believe there are webcams in the BBC radio studios that are viewable on the BBC website.

  3. Given he’s apparantly well known for doing this, it rather recalls the line from ‘A League of their Own’:

Mae Mordabito: What if at a key moment in the game my, my uniform bursts open and, uh, oops., my bosoms come flying out? That, that might draw a crowd, right?

Doris Murphy: You think there are men in this country who ain’t seen your bosoms? “

Most Americans would interpret “cock” just as you’ve used it. But there’s a relatively large
(southern) portion of the U.S. where the word is more commonly used with reference to the female genitals. In bygone days–a couple generations or more–the different folkstyles occasioned mirth where the cultures mixed, clashed, or otherwise intersected.

No longer, I’d guess. A sort of tragic marker of what passes for progress.

  5. Standards are indeed slipping. I distinctly sensed last night that the newsreader on R4 was not wearing black tie.
