    Under EU rules he would have been able to come here – even if we had known.

    A tattoo on the foot for all serious sex offenders would of course be a lot cheaper – and I would not mind showing my foot when I next look for a job.

    And when they cut it off to evade the check? No, it’s not their foot that you need to tattoo…

  3. I’d rather they spent the money vetting teachers to make sure they were interested in actually teaching children something useful, which teachers don’t seem to care about all that much today.

  4. People from other EU countries are allowed to come to the UK, and work with children, and very few effective checks on their background can be done. Often because other EU countries do not keep registers of offenders against children.
