Tee Hee

A group of climate change protesters who brought Stansted airport to a standstill after occupying a taxiway in December were sentenced yesterday, as it emerged that they and others who joined them face the threat of being sued for more than £2m in damages.

Well, yes, you are liable for the forseeable losses to others going about their lawful business as a result of your actions. Book \’em Dannio!

  1. “Danno”, I think you’ll find.

Ah, sod the pedantry – Book ’em, whoever you are, and book ’em hard.

  2. At the risk of appearing 20th century, to what does “Book ’em, Danno” refer? I assume it’s a TV show or movie but haven’t really a clue.

  3. “Ryle, from Hornsey, north London, said: “It’s pretty scary, what’s happening now. Most of us haven’t got any money and a fair few of us are at university and already have big debts. If Ryanair wins we’ll be paying money to Michael O’Leary for decades, and all because we think our parents’ generation failed us, so we decided to actually do something about climate change.”

    My heart bleeds…

I hope the Ryanair lawyers give it to them, good and hard. They should have thought about this before they smashed up a whole day’s business.

And I hope this messes up their future career prospects too. Other people who do real work, in real jobs, and pay real taxes, are getting laid off. It is going to get very unpleasant for self absorbed little tarquins like him.

Their parents generation didn’t fail them. They failed the rest of us.

    It’s ‘Hawaii Five O’.

  5. At least this time there is a chance that some of the damages might actually be paid – as far as I can tell most of the “activists” were trustafarian yahs.

Let’s hope that by some legal maneovre Daddy can be liable for Rupert and Tamsin’s idiocies.

  6. would this set a precedent for the next time the police close the M25 to prevent a Fathers for Justice moron from potentially falling to his death?
