  1. What I don’t get is how any set of figures, complied at the expense of the public, or any set of calculations, paid for by the public can, on being given to the public that paid for them, be said to be stolen.

    It would be great if Karl Popper were still alive and to see what he would have to say about Phil Jones’s ‘Why should I make the data available to you, when your aim is to try find something wrong with it’. There is very little of the Open society here much less the ability of others to falsify or test a claim.
