The English Aristocracy

Rum lot really:

In postwar London, Beauclerk worked for the Central Office of Information until 1964, when he succeeded his second cousin, \”Obby\”, as 13th Duke of St Albans. He had been no less than ninth in line at the time of his birth (fewer D\’Ascoynes stand between Louis Mazzini and the dukedom of Chalfont in the film Kind Hearts and Coronets), but his eventual inheritance comprised little more than a string of titles, including that of Hereditary Grand Falconer of England.

And there\’s enough odd references in there to confuse almost any non-Englishman.
