See, see, it works!

A team of more than 3,000 \”behaviour detection\” officers hired to spot terrorists at US airports have failed to catch a single person despite costing the taxpayer $200 million (£140 million) last year.

In the sense that the gin keeps away the elephants at least….

  1. But it’s far worse than that, isn’t it? Never mind Behavioral Detection, no airport security, at anyplace, or anytime, has ever detected a terrorist threat. Not a single one.

  2. It couldn’t be because there weren’t actually any terrorists to catch could it?

A failure could only be a failure if there was actually a terrorist act and the detectors didn’t spot them.

  3. I think SadButMad might have a point. Ever since 9/11 every intelligence/secrity agency on earth has been watching airports and air passengers, almost to the exclusion of everything else.

If I were a bad person intent on evil deeds, the air transport sector would be the last place I’d be thinking of as a target. If still had a thing for transportation I’d be looking for something like a tube train or a bus in London or an express train in Spain. Or maybe I’d change tactics totally and go for a nightclub inBali.
