That gurgling sound from the SWP

As it circles the drain:

A telling example of the way this crisis is working out in \’the real world\’ is the experience of students at Queen Mary College (QMC), University of London. There, socialist students have been faced with a potential boycott by other groups they usually work with. A QMC student explains, \”Networks we’ve fought hard to build with groups, such as The Palestinian Solidarity Society and elected positions on campus, have distanced themselves from us and are finding it difficult to work with us.\”

Yup. Excusing rape and sexual assault because the perpetrator is a committed revolutionary is unpopular among da youf.

Who knew?

  1. I just love the clear delusion in the latest piece by China Mielville:

Our name is becoming toxic. Our credibility as a collective and as individual activists is being grossly compromised, and is on the verge of being permanently tainted

He does realise that he’s talking about the SWP, yes? A fringe bunch of rabid trots?

Excusing rape is unpopular among da youf of the Palestinian Solidarity Committee? I doubt it. Ask them if they require four adult male eyewitnesses of good moral character who saw an actual act of penetration.

Surreptitious Evil – “He does realise that he’s talking about the SWP, yes? A fringe bunch of rabid trots?”

One of the pleasures, in fact virtually the only pleasure, of reading CM’s books is that he has almost certainly handed all the money over to the Central Committee of the SWP. And one day he is going to wake up to that fact.

And say “F*CK” probably. Can’t wait.
