Parliament officials are especially worried that new powers for MEPs under the Lisbon Treaty have not been reflected in growing popularity, as voting turnout for the parliament has declined successively since the first direct elections 34 years ago.

\”The increase in power has met with increased influence, responsibility and transparency which should be reflected by enhanced visibility, credibility and a better reputation,\” said the document.

Our basic default position is that the more power someone has over us the more we are aware of the way in which they are ignorant fuckwits to whom one should not even give the time of day much less attention or respect.

This applies in spades here:

  1. They’ll tell us any old bollocks… to distract us while they remove our freedoms.

Look at the new “investment” in internet monitoring to astroturf anti-EU blogs… They want to deny us freedom of speech by simply drowning us out with the noise of paid for drones…

    Scum…

Then charge ‘em for defense, cleaning up their oil rigs, funding RBS etc etc etc. Keep them out of the £ and evict the lot back to the land they claim they love.
