That alone was worth clicking on the link.

If anybody whinges to you about leaving the EU tell them that Britain’s saved Europe, again…..
no need to thank us – it’s what we do.

I presume the rest of it’s the recycle bin.

Love the whiney youf who are claiming that their future has been denied them by old people. Since they apparently don’t understand or accept the democratic process, it makes a strong case for increasing the voting age, not lowering it. Seems they’d like a system where your age dictates the value of your vote, e.g. at 20 your vote would be worth 1, at 50 it would be worth 0.5 and at 80 you don’t get to vote.

If more than 29% of them had turned out to vote, they might have a point. But they didn’t, so fuck them.

I love the implicit implication that old people don’t have a future worth a damn…..

Indeed, or that we didn’t consider the impact of our votes on our children and grand children.
“We – Generations Y and Z – are the first generation in Europe to almost exclusively change the world with hardly any form of violence. We reject basic ideas of capitalism without even noticing it, simply because technology is making them redundant. We have grown up in multiethnic societies and conciously reject our grandparents’ open and our parents’ ingrained racism. We fight sexism. We denounce exploitation and the devoting of our lives to someone else’s profit. Unsurprisingly, all of this terrifies some people. Politicians failed to address these issues, and unfortunately the EU took the blame for it.”
Well, if you must go, Ollie, don’t slam the door on your way out.

DocBud – from the same article:
Now the unthinkable has happened. Britons voted against their political establishment by saying no to the only thing that is protecting them from it.
I’m struggling to make sense of it, but is the fact that he’s German relevant in any way?

Doc Bud,
“We denounce exploitation and the devoting of our lives to someone else’s profit.”
Is that code for not having a job?

The comments in that article are classic.
Someone staying in Australia because the UK is leaving the EU, say what?
And this one;
“I’m 54, have worked in public service since I was 18. So my conscience is good on this. People were silly enough to vote to leave, so I’m voting to leave. With my feet. I deserve it. Cheers.”
I hope he finds some gainful phone cleaning somewhere in the EU….

“No matter who ultimately becomes prime minister, the Tories have a clear mandate to turn the country away from Europe.”
They still don’t get it. Its the Eu that’s been rejected and much as I dislike the thought of Boris as PM nobody can doubt that he has an international outlook.
“We have grown up in multiethnic societies and conciously reject our grandparents’ open and our parents’ ingrained racism”
Your grandparents parents may be racists, but that doesn’t make all of us racist. I’ve probably done more to help the poor and dispossessed of the world than all your generation put together.
And we don’t live in a multi-ethnic society, we live in a multi-mono-ethinic society because a large number of those ethnics reject our liberal society.
That’s big of you, Ollie. At least it shows that we’ve managed to teach Germans something.

David Moore,
Probably a huge fan of exploiting the hard work of others so that he can live off other people’s taxes. But then he obviously feels that if you are stupid enough to devote your life to someone else’s profit, you deserve to be fleeced of half your income, especially as you more than likely don’t belong to one of the sainted generations.
David Moore
Amusingly he is on Linkenin and from the number of internships he has had, I suspect he’s been royally exploited without actually getting a paycheck.
Admittedly, he was an intern at the Guardian, so no one can say he was exploited for a profit I guess…
