A rather hopeful political stance

I’ve joined the Lib Dems so we can beat Brexit in a general election

  1. Bloke in North Dorset

I could just about see the attraction of the LibDems when the Orange Bookers were in the ascendency, but now they have that poisoned dwarf as a leader they’re just another spiteful left wing party.

  2. May would say any combination of words possible in the English language if she thought they would ensure her accession.

She is a thick, arrogant CM bitch in the mould of Camoron.

Nobody with the brains of a gnat would hold an election before 2020. She may –just–have that much brains.

We do not need another 4 years of dictat from yet one more stupid, bungling, arrogant CM twat..

    Gove not Dimbo

  3. I’ve hated Farron ever since I started to get deluged by unsolicited emails from him on every possible subject, all starting

    “Friend”

  4. Completely freaked out by any possibility that Bliar could negotiate with the EU on our behalf. The star performer who gave away a chunk of rebate for nothing.

Gove appears to be ideolgoically driven to get us out of the EU because it’s a terrible system, but if May gets the top job will we be back to associate membership?

****Over the past few days we’ve heard arguments that the referendum was advisory, that only an act of parliament carries the sovereign power to invoke article 50******

No we haven’t heard this and nor have you. Yet it’s still your understanding which you’re sure enough of to write down in an article to be published. Good luck with whatever you do Iain.. you’re going to need lots of it.

  6. On the general issue, I’m tempted to send Mr Heseltine a big package of Anusol for his butthurt. It would be even better if he got the Bomb Squad to open it.

  7. Given his name he surely uses Preparation H instead.

Indeed was he not the “face” of that fine product at one point in his life

  8. I have joined the Liberal Democrats safe in the knowledge that my beliefs will never be tested by political reality and I can spend my life happily in angry incoherent opposition to just about everything.

I always reply, starting off with “Cockspanner” or similar.

I always assume someone addressing me as ‘friend’ is using it in the same sense as an East End thug calling somebody ‘pal’ i.e. I’m in for a kicking of some variety.

    +1

    Saved me typing similar.

I’d like Liam Fox as PM and M Gove in whatever post they agreed was best for UK & Brexit.

  12. “A confession: I have voted in all five general elections since I turned 18, as well as this referendum, and have never cast my vote for the winning side – either in the constituency or the country.”
Iain Row is Eddie Izzard and I claim my £10!
BTW: Why has no one mentioned that the Izzard-effect worked its magic in the referendum, just as it did in previous votes? I knew the Remain camp (sic) was doomed the moment the former “comedian” came out in support of it.
