  1. The Kraft Corp can stick its Septic “Oreo” flavour up its Septic arse.

Am I alone in noticing some rather odd flavours creeping into Cadbury’s Chocolate flavours lately? I don’t mean crap “new” flavours like the shite above but how ordinary Cadbury’s products of long standing taste different -ie not so good.

For example the cake/ choc cream bars used to taste very nice–now they don’t. They don’t taste foul but they taste odd and nothing like as good. Several people have told me the same thing. One fellow has even given up on Dairy Milk telling me that it now tastes “odd”.

American contacts have told me that Cadburys was /is popular in the US as it tastes far better than shite like Harshey’s Crapola. Some perhaps our Dear Septic pals are trying to “Dumb down” the taste or perhaps just save money by using cheap or substitute ingredients.

Were I PM the Chairman–or whoever in Kraft’s gang is responsible–would be invited over on some pretext and then find himself in the midst of an especially nasty black glove interview to the get the truth and dispense appropriate equity.

  2. That repulsive and unconvincing trannie Irene Rosenfeld should be made to subsist on a sole diet of Cadbury’s products for the rest of her life.

  3. @LPT – US confectionary has a very different make up to UK. Hershey’s in particular also dose their chocolate with butyric acid – it’s the chemical that makes parmesan taste “savoury”. It’s also a key ingredient of the flavour of vomit, which is why the choc always smells and tastes like sick

  4. Scoff all you want. Kraft/Nabisco sells $5,000,000,000 of Oreos a year.

I’d rather not scoff any, thanks.

  5. So that’s why Parmesan always makes me think a little bit of sick. I thought I was just being a philistine.

Thanks for that info. I’ve always thought Parmesan smelt like vomit and couldn’t understand why others like it. Now I know it’s not me having a dodgy sense of smell.

  7. I like Oreos. Maybe I’ve been in the Greater US Co-prosperity Sphere too long. Cadbury in the US is owned by Hershey, who dropped the cocoa butter content and upped the shea butter. They then sued Cadbury itself to stop them importing UK products. US chocolate is rank. Even Yanks admit as much. As for Parmigiano Reggiano: if you are not freshly grating it you are a fuckwit and of course it will smell like vomit. Also if it isn’t D.O.C. god knows where it’s from. I’m having fettuccine Alfredo tonight with real Parmesan and it will be glorious.
