Rich woman wears expensive dress in snub to immigration chaos

These people really need to chill:

Ivanka Trump called ‘tone deaf’ for donning $5,000 worth of aluminum foil amid immigration chaos

Sigh:

Ivanka Trump — who’s made her own fortune with a lifestyle and fashion brand — posted an image of herself in a shiny, silvery gown in front of a mirror where her husband’s hand is clearly on her posterior.

The tweet and Instagram post appeared just after midnight on Sunday morning, as immigration lawyers and protestors were scrambling to free refugee claimants stuck in U.S. immigration detention.

Nice to have a heterosexual somewhere near the White House.

These people just keep turning the rage up to 11. But where is it going to get them? I don’t give a f**k. I give less than a f**k. I give a negative f**k – the more they rage, the more I support Trump. It doesn’t work for Rusty. It is not going to work for them. They will have a heart attack in the end – assuming their heads don’t actually explode.

  2. 24/7/365 news cycle has to find something to write about… *yawns*

And what SMFS said. They are overplaying their hand, and it’ll all end in tears.

  3. Yup. Starting from a base of zero affection for The Donald, every time I read guff like this or even the Graun’s pretence at measured commentary, I just think: “You’re all hysterical, you’re all thick, you’re all arseholes. Go The Donald.”

  4. A husband puts his hand on his wife’s arse.

    What horror.

Woman puts on a dress that –technically– she made herself. This means dire insult to assorted “refugees”. Who should be being helped by the much more cost-efficient process of helping them back in their own countries rather than importing them to cause chaos and vote for socialism over here. In which case they wouldn’t be stuck in various airports.

Keep going you scum of the Left. You are moving faster and faster and your own arsehole is looming up fast.

  5. WTF? Something bad happens so FLOTUS should wear sackcloth and ashes?

At which point she’d have been criticised for not dressing as appropriate to her role and position.

    We’ve got another 8 years of this…

  6. “Nice to have a heterosexual somewhere near the White House.”

Yes, but it is her dad.

    “They are overplaying their hand”

    That’s what Ivanka thought.

  7. Seriously though. The left are making a big mistake.

Joe Worker never liked the left but also didn’t pay much attention and got on with his life. Lisa Manager also never liked them but realised that in a democracy you win some lose some and we need to work together regardless of political stripes for the benefit of all.

Joe and Lisa are being woken up. Reasonableness and decency only goes one way it seems. In the words of the Donald: “not fair!”

  8. “Something bad happens so FLOTUS should wear sackcloth and ashes?” ‘Tain’t FLOTUS, it’s FDOTUS.

  9. …where her husband’s hand is clearly on her posterior.

Yeah. One of the perks of being a married heterosexual male with an attractive wife. You get to cop a feel in impunity while asserting your droit du seigneur for everyone to see.

No wonder the leftists are in a snit.

  10. “$5,000 worth of aluminium foil.

That’s a lot of hats some people are being deprived of.”

I had to clean my lunch off my iPad after reading that. Brilliant.

  11. Everything that Trump and his administration do the next four years will be greeted with “WAH! WAH! This is an appalling never-before-seen breach pf protocol. He is literally Worse Than HITLER!” even (arguably especially) if it’s something that either Obama or all previous new Presidents have done. A good example was the ‘blanking’ of the White House website on inauguration day, when the pages had just been moved over to an archive ready to be replaced with fresh content, as every incoming administration does. The immigration ban is another – he’s literally Hitler for doing something that was in his election pledges, and is half the length of a similar ban imposed by Obama.

it’s going to make the genuinely stupid/dangerous things that he does – of which there will be many – in practice indistinguishable from those that are unbelievably humdrum and run of the mill

  12. Does the average Joe really connect Ivanka Trump in a dress with refugees from shitholes that he probably wouldn’t like if he met them? And in a negative way? This is just too rarefied to be meaningful, but it’s an example of what happens when your whole life is politics and you can feel influence slipping away.

  13. Flatcap Army

Everything that Trump and his administration do the next four years will be greeted with “WAH! WAH!

And I intend to enjoy every bloody moment. To quote from elsewhere: “The snowflakes are having the mother of all meltdowns”.

I shouldn’t get my hopes up, but four whole years of this? And just imagine – if he got re-elected..:)

  14. Here’s Delingpole, relishing his own personal moment!

    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2017/01/31/delingpole-trumps-climate-plans-made-medias-heads-explode/

Unfortunately, I arrived too late to catch the bit in the conference where someone asked Myron Ebell what Stephen K. Bannon, Trump’s chief policy adviser, thought about climate change.

“Well you can get an idea from the fact that when he was at Breitbart the guy he recruited to write about it was James Delingpole…” Ebell said.

No wonder I got so many hate-filled glares when I poked my head into the crowded room, 15 minutes late.

The feeling’s mutual. But that’s OK because I’m on the right side of history, whereas their view of the world is toast. Welcome to the suck, guys. It’s only just beginning…

  15. Chaos?

Things are pretty quiet out here in Flyover Territory.

Oh sure, about 100 white people and 5 immigrants showed up at the airport to protest the Evil Donald, but all that elicited was yawns.

We’ve got 40,000 Somali-Americans living in Central Ohio, and the Muslim Ban has got them, to this point, bored stiff.

  16. SMFS,

“These people just keep turning the rage up to 11. But where is it going to get them? I don’t give a f**k. I give less than a f**k. I give a negative f**k – the more they rage, the more I support Trump. It doesn’t work for Rusty. It is not going to work for them. I wouldn’t go that far. I still think that (barely) Clinton was a better candidate.

But… these people are just crazy. We know a Green candidate and she went to a protest in London yesterday against Trump. Like, what did that cost you, and for what? To stand in the rain protesting against a foreign president. Might as well take a trip to Minehead and piss in the sea.

  17. Good link thanks, PF.

I liked the bit where he talked about Trump going out and talking to people who are affected by policies. Are you listening, Dems? Labour?

  18. I notice there was not a similar narrative with the Hollywood crowd wearing $100,000 dresses while claiming the high ground on all the great moral questions

  19. ‘sparking outrage amid the chaos surrounding her father’s immigration ban’

Outrage? Chaos? Nah. Lefty heads exploding.

  20. @Gamecock: Outrage? Chaos? Nah. Lefty heads exploding.

Actually, outrage, yes. Among the perpetually aggrieved.

Some of us would consider that a good thing.

  21. I see the Obamas are adhering to the grim and puritan political moment by enjoying a modest and cheap holiday on Richard Branson’s private island. I’m sure people find this quite in keeping with the public mood.
