Interesting question here

In the wake of the US election, the past few months have felt like an alternate reality for many. But even in the wildest of alternate realities, did anybody think Moby would be the one to bring down the Trump administration?

In a Facebook post on Monday, the American DJ, musician and animal rights activist claimed he had spent the weekend “talking to friends who work in dc [sic]” and could therefore “accurately” post insider information about the Trump presidency.

The allegations detailed by Moby included that Trump was “being blackmailed” by the Russian government for “much more nefarious things” than prevailing rumours already suggest, but that the Trump administration is simultaneously “in collusion” with the Russian government “and has been since day one”.

What could you actually blackmail Trump about?

If it were something sexual it would have to be up there with dead boys for absolutely everyone knows that he’s not kept in his pants over the years (actually, would be fun to know who the current mistress is, wouldn’t it?). Money? Taxes? There’s not much I can see there that could be used. We can’t even try out the idea that he’s a Grey Alien for all know that was Hills.

So, what could anyone use to blackmail Trump with?

  1. It would have to be something really traitorous, doing something that ended with US servicemen getting killed. Something lefties would usually defend but his base would kill over.

  2. The people who are pushing this Russian angle don’t know a lot about Russia. Sure, Trump went there in the 1990s to have a look and turned straight back around (as most established businessmen would have done). Since then, what business is Trump supposed to have done in Russia? Has he even been there in person? The rumors would make sense if Trump had a tower in Moscow, but he doesn’t. I doubt Putin had even heard of him until The Apprentice aired. Whereas German chancellors, on the other hand…

  3. Why do you dignify this cockrot with any consideration Tim?

As if Moby–whoever the fuck Moby is–would have “inside knowledge from DC” worth –as the Yanks say–jack shit.

Moby needs whaling on. And how many more leftist masturbation fantasies must the readers of this blog be subjected to?

  4. He is rich and he is free. He likes those things. Anything that would realistically threaten either of could be a concern.

  5. Maybe Trump’s secretly a snowflake SJW, has a poster of Che Guevara on his bedroom wall & wears sandals with woolly socks at weekends.
Not stuff he’d want widely revealed, is it?

  6. Michael Flynn’s just resigned over inappropriate contact with Russia, perhaps that’s what they meant?

  7. Still not speaking to us…this morning’s news seems infatuated with Mike Flynn and the Logan Act. Am sure the voters of Stoke give a flying fuck.

  8. Moby is of course somewhat notorious for cheerfully and knowingly infecting his groupies with herpes. I mention this merely as an insight into the man’s character.

He is however old-school US Establishment – descended from Herman Melville, hence the pseudonym

  9. There’s got to be some tax stuff. Just has to be. You don’t get that rich without having tax skeletons, even if purely by accident.

  10. Although the Trumpster has already gone on the offensive about his tax, so it probably wouldn’t be a killer blow:

“I mean, I pay as little as possible. I use every single thing in the book. And I have great people,” the Republican presidential front-runner told supporters in Sioux Center, Iowa.

He contrasted his approach to how former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (R) addressed the tax issue during the 2012 presidential race.

Romney, who made millions in private equity, faced criticism during that race for supposedly paying a lower tax rate than members of the middle class. On Saturday, Trump mocked Romney for trying make it seem as if he paid more than he absolutely had to.

“Remember Romney when he said, ‘No, no. I paid. I paid.’ He was trying to build it up: ‘Oh yeah, I’ve paid,'” Trump said. In contrast, Trump said: “I pay as little as possible. It’s an expense, right? That’s the American way. I mean, do you want stupid people?”

  11. There’s got to be some tax stuff. Just has to be. You don’t get that rich without having tax skeletons, even if purely by accident.

The tax laws are deliberately complicated so that everybody will have tax skeletons.

  12. Stephanie Convery asks us, “did anybody think Moby would be the one to bring down the Trump administration?”

Well, no, and I still don’t.

  13. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if Moby – bearing in mind his background – had mates working in DC and that they are spreading shit about Trump. The White House is leaking like a sieve.

Trump has a massive fifth column to deal with.

  14. Well, in the first place, why would anyone believe friends of a dj who happen to work in “dc”? No specifics , no substance, no reason to believe such low-placed, anonymous sources. It’s fishmongers’ gossip.

But hypothetically suppose for a moment even a small part of it were not 100% made-up. Why assume this Moby jughead knows the correct definition and usage of the word “blackmail”? Why not assume instead he misuses the word – as so many people do – when the correct word is “extortion?

‘frinstance, what if Russia or some terrorist organization has managed to hide a dirty bomb somewhere inside one or more major US cities?

    Just sayin’

  15. When the dossier was being first talked about before we knew what was in it, a bunch of my friends were guessing on what might hurt him.

There would be some sex stuff on video that would hurt – one suggestion was a prostitute who was a lookalike for Ivanka and roleplaying as her.

But the most obvious is money. If he owes some Russian banks a lot of money and they could call in the loans, then that’s blackmailable. He’s pretty heavily leveraged, isn’t he?

  16. He’s got half of Goldmans working for him. You don’t think the Pres of the US would be able to refinance a couple of billion $?

  17. This is Moby we’re talking about here.

Think about that for a moment.

I’m pretty damn sure there isn’t anyone running around Westerville today saying, “You hear what Moby said yesterday?”

It’s like saying Meryl Streep or Sarah Silverman are a threat to the Trump Administration. You’re talking about trained seals getting coverage from news outlets that must publish whether there’s news or not.

Nobody outside the cocoon gives a flying fuck.

  18. Somebody was tapping Flynn’s phone before he got instated to NSA. Who authorised it? Obviously inconvenient factoids have just been leaked to the press. By whom? Did anyone authorise this?

There is clearly a maverick streak in the Federal civil service. And Trump needs to clear it out ASAP otherwise his administration is going to be dogged by this bullshit.

  19. Ecks,

    The line is:

“And Moby, you can get stomped by Obie”

IMHO the only good use for Moby is as a test cd when setting up your sound system. While the music itself is not worth the listen the dynamic range is better than anything else I’ve found. I should also note the only reason I even own the cd is my roommate left it, among other assorted crap when he failed out.

  20. There’s got to be some tax stuff. Just has to be.

    Yawn.

    Who cares about Trump’s taxes?

The left don’t care. They’ll hate him whether or not he paid more tax than he had to. The right don’t care, because it’s irrelevant compared to protecting the borders and deporting millions of illegals and dangerous foreigners. That just leaves the cucks, and no-one cares about them any more.

About the only thing that would harm Trump is a video of him going into a bathroom, peeling off his rubber skin, and Hillary Clinton stepping out.
