Robert Reichian logic

The second possibility is the Obama administration did in fact tap his phones. But if this was the case, before the tap could occur it’s highly likely Trump committed a very serious crime, including treason.

That the President ordered a break in at Democratic National HQ is proof that such a break in was justified.

  1. And Nixon didn’t even order it. His “crime” was covering up for G. Gordon Liddy et al.

  2. But if this was the case, before the tap could occur it’s highly likely Trump committed a very serious crime, including treason.

Which nobody thought to mention, presumably?

  3. If the tapping is proved, I’m just waiting for the “defence” of “It wasn’t Obama, it was the Justice Department” (as if that makes it any better).

In other news, the quote there is the Soviet concept of guilt – you wouldn’t be being investigated unless you were guilty, since The Party does not make mistakes.

  4. ‘No president can order a wiretap on his own. For federal agents to obtain a wiretap on Trump, the Justice Department would first have had to convince a federal judge that it had gathered sufficient evidence of probable cause to believe Trump had committed a serious crime or was an agent of a foreign power, depending on whether it was a criminal or foreign intelligence wiretap.’

Bobby, the government is wire-tapping EVERYONE. Even you, dumbass.

  5. Aah yes, that FISA court that is so famous for turning down almost every req… wait, what, they’ve almost turned down none?

  6. You only need a warrant if the wiretapping is domestic, if you don’t want to get a warrant then you need a foreign friend to do it for you.

  7. Regarding the foreign friends, it turns out that there are some sophisticated listeners for the usa in Germany. I find the Obama tapping stuff somewhat implausible, but I guess you can quite easily create circumstances in which your agents are not subject to us law (being outside the jurisdiction), and not subject to the law of where they are (because of diplomatic credentials, ambiguity about extraterritoriality, or plain old refusal to hand over evidence).

Guantanamo I guess is the poster child for that.

  8. The NSA know everything anyway, whats all the hoo-hah about wiretapping? Where are we, in the 1950s?

Its ironic that the best way to keep the State from intercepting your communications nowadays is to write them on a piece of paper and put them in the post.

  9. ” I find the Obama tapping stuff somewhat implausible, ”

They started tapping your crew in 2010 Biggie. Obo is supposed to only have been told in 2013 (which I strongly doubt: the scrawny jug-eared leftist cunt was likely in it like a maggot in cheese) and supposedly said “Whatever” on his way to the golf course. He didn’t put a stop to it.

Jail for him and his gang, Holder and the rest. And what a chance to renew the onslaught on the Clinton gang and Podesta. And Pizzagate. The later is likely highly exaggerated but certainly has not been properly investigated as it should be.

  10. This is an interesting game.

The Democrats have been going after Trumps proxies, Flynn etc, so Trump seems to have said, bollocks to this, and taken a jab directly at Obama.

    I think the Streetwise Prof has it bang on with this;

    “There are three alternatives:

    1. No surveillance–then the leaks purportedly based on surveillance are fabricated.
    2. There was surveillance and it found nothing. This is a twofer for Trump. He was the victim of dirty tricks and the allegations of illicit contacts with the Russians are false.
    3. There was surveillance and it found something compromising. Here Trump is toast.”

The Dems are playing with semantics , but Trump is closer to the general truth and the Dems rolling out Clapper to cover is going to work out well for Trump.

  11. “Trump is toast.”

Not really. The Libtards thought they had him a hundred times already.

  12. It seems to me most unlikely that he wasn’t spied on. This also explains the fake hysteria about Russia: the excuse for this misbehaviour is that it’s really the Russians they wanted to spy on. Quite sly, really.

Did Obama order it? Will no one rid me of this turbulent Trump?

  13. So the next question would be – was Romney tapped as well and did that help Obama in campaign preparation?

  14. @Fecks,

Indeed, but as mentioned by others, in the same way that everyone is listened to some of the time.
