What fun!

The progressive senator Elizabeth Warren accused Donald Trump of firing a prominent prosecutor to install “cronies” , warning on Sunday of “a massive fight” in the Senate over his picks for new US attorneys.

Right Lizzie:

New presidents typically replace the appointees named by their predecessors, but not since 1993 has a new administration done so in such a rapid, sweeping fashion.

So the last person to do this was Bill Clinton then?

  1. He sought no charges against her, saying that while some of Clinton’s statements were factually false, there was insufficient evidence that these statements were either knowingly false or that she understood that her statements led to the firings.

The start of her long career of complete exonerations against charges.

  2. I wish Warren well. It is vital that the Democrats put forward another terrible identity-politics obsessed WASP candidate in 2020.

  3. That’s strange, she didn’t say anything when we shot “Rocco hollows out Elizabeth’s warren”

  4. In addition to accepting the resignations of countless federal prosecuters, Clinton ‘accepted’ the resignation of 49 of the 50 U.S. State Attorneys, keeping only Michael Chertoff, the U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey (curiously enough, a Republican).

ALL U.S . Attorneys are expected to to submit their resignations every Presidential election (even if it’s an election resulting in the incumbent rewinning the Presidency)

So Trump accepting 47 of the 50 proffered resignations isn’t all that out of line, most Presidents accept some number with a forty handle

It is when you have trained your brain to forget everything you know which inconveniences you politically.

  6. “It is when you have trained your brain to forget everything you know which inconveniences you politically.”

A skill required for reading the legacy press.

  7. Rocco amid the Warren…..

I am in the process of lining up :

Rocco roasts Sturgeon and the nastiest movie of all time, but ceding top-billing for the first time:

“Murphy’s choicest academics”, in which the fat one and I enjoy an arsetacular romp through the faculty of City University

  8. Mr Ecks, I follow the money wherever it leads, sometimes down some very unsavoury rabbit holes

  9. If Warren is so senile that she cannot remember as far back as 2008, is she still eligible to be a senator?
