  1. Decades bleed into each other. So like a tadpole whose pond is drying up as the highly trained 80s agent got into the 90s he had less and less 80s to sleep in.

  2. Quite possible given the the ‘New York Minute’.

    The foreshortened timescale of New York as defined by Johnny Carson: ‘It’s the interval between a Manhattan traffic light turning green and the guy behind you honking his horn.’
