Snowflakes, snowflakes again

Donald Trump has performed a remarkable series of foreign policy reversals, cooling his ties with Russia over the Syria chemical attack

The ties with Russia were entirely fabricated by the snowflakes to cover the fact that Hillary just wasn’t a good candidate. At which point anything which isn’t fluffing Putin is a policy reversal……

  1. That is what is so bizarre. There were a few dotted around who said,,, ‘we don’t know, he could do anything’ And you can legitimately be worried about that.
Those saw that gap in knowledge and filled it with their own made up shit were inevitably going to be wrong. And for them to dress it up as policy reversal is just a statement of their own inability to tell it like it is.

I don’t think so; it was more sinister. The ties with Russia were fabricated to be used as justification for setting the spooks on Trump.

  3. If proof were needed that the media and intelligentsia have completely lost their collective marbles it is the ‘Trump-is-in-the-pay-of Putin’ story.

It was only a few months ago that this was their basis for impeachment:

They used to be able to count on disappearing things down the memory hole after a year or two. But are ordinary people supposed to just forget January?

“Gee, honey. Didn’t that nasty Mr Trump used to be a Russian stooge? It’s so horrible that he wants to nuke them now. Dreadful man.”

We are at war with Oceania. We have always been at war with Oceania.

I sure that is true, it then grew into a pre-fabricated reason why they lost.

In part, I believe the reason the shock was so great was partly that it made keeping the antics they had be up to concealed much harder, and the realisation that Trump could do the same back to them.

  5. Disagraceful; and all it took was :

1 Trump to publicly ask Russia to dig up and release emails from Hillary Clinton deleted from her private email server
2 A hack of the Democratic National Committee
2 Endles assertions of his desire to draw Russia and the US closer together

    1) An off the cuff joke.

    2) Zero evidence of a ‘hack’, not least because the DNC wouldn’t let the FBI inspect their servers. Most likely an inside leak.

    3) Presidential candidate wants to reduce tensions between two heavily armed nations and create a more friendly atmosphere shocker!!!!!

Presumably Trump’s attitude to Russia should have mirrored Kenny Everett’s?

  7. I don’t think Trump has foundered. His tactics are presumably typical of business negotiations: he adopts a strong stance then rows back a bit to make it look like he is compromising for your benefit.

Trump was not opposed to NATO. He was opposed to a poorly organised NATO populated by freeloaders. He wanted other NATO members to do and spend more, and they have agreed to.

On China Trump called them currency manipulators during the election. Now he has had a meeting with Xi Jinping and come out of it saying China isn’t a currency manipulator *at the moment* and has possibly secured co-ordination of action over North Korea. If the USA and China can de-escalate and deprogram NK without massive casualties that will be an amazing achievement.

  8. Jim – I’m a longtime fan of Kenny Everett’s and, while I was conflicted about his Russia-bombing policy, did enthusiastically support his kick-Michael-Foot’s-stick-away policy.
