Not quite how I’d describe it myself

Jimmy Choo has put itself up for sale as part of an evaluation of its future.
The British luxury brand, which specialises in shoes and accessories, said it was to conduct a review of various strategic options to “maximise value for its shareholders”, including the possibility of a sale.

Because what is being said there is “We hope we can find some other bugger who values it more than we do”

  1. There is a limit to the demand for expensive impractical female shoes?

    Who would have guessed?

  2. Maybe Serena has switched to comfortable shoes and that has been enough to push them under?

I mean, have you seen how much those shoes cost? One or two customers could be a big deal.

  3. Shoe designers are fuckwits who demand products made that defy the laws of physics and then throw a strop when the developer calls them an idiot.

Unfortunately they’re also some of the highest paid in the industry. I can imagine the ones at Jimmy Choo are probably some of the biggest fuckwits and highest paid of the lot.

  4. We used to have a Georgian flat. Lovely, it was. But our decor was in better taste, I have to say; infinitely cheaper too.

And the books were there for reading, not as a ‘statement’.

    The views were choicer too.

    Them wuz the days.

  5. I wonder how much Choo etc have to pay for insurance against millionaire fuckwits suing them for making them cripples.

  6. “There is a limit to the demand for expensive impractical female shoes?”

Not exactly. The problem for all high fashion brands is how fast success can come and go. One year, everyone in killing to buy your stuff and the next year or two years later, you’re struggling to give it away.
