  1. I don’t see how returning the border to Dover is going to shift the camps. It’s not like the migrants are going to magic themselves across the channel once the border switches, is it? They’d still have to sneak on a boat or take their chances in the tunnel.

What I don’t get is they manage to cross the Med in a rickety old boat but can’t manage the English Channel. Could buy a dinghy and paddle across.

  2. “Could buy a dinghy and paddle across.”
The Channel is full of bad weather, tides, traffic, radar, coastguard and possibly Navy and Police.
More chance of getting run over than getting across.

  3. Also a higher probability of the people smugglers being caught, so the price would have to rise higher than the migrants can afford.

  4. Ok, good points.

Anyway, what’s the argument from the Frogs/Europhiles that if the border switches then the camps will dissapear with the migrants supposedly getting to the UK? How do they invisage these migrants suddenly being able to make it across? It’s not like the ferry companies are going to sell them tickets and let them on, is it?

  5. If I was being deeply cynical…

In two years time the French (along with their EU Brethren) could be looking to engineer a reason to ‘close’ their borders with the UK at any time, the sooner the better for Brussels.

    Hhhhhm

  6. Julia,

Yes, a few have made it (a google, seems about 10), but we don’t know how many didn’t, if you go under one of those supertankers there’s nothing left and nobody will know. I suspect word has got out about how dangerous it is.

And here’s a good idea of how busy it is and how likely you are to go under a boat: http://www.shipais.co.uk/currentmap.php?map=folkstone

(At the time of linking its fairly quiet)

Those big boys have difficulty seeing us WAFIs with our sails up, there’s no chance of them seeing a dinghy.

  7. If we had a government that wasn’t BluLabour shite pretending that they aren’t this would be a good opportunity to tear into Mr “Get used to (MONA) terrorism you Proles” Macron.

He almost seems to be some black-magic homunculus , born in a sealed vessel of the French and EU leftscum.

Macmillan’s quote still likely stands but this time they betray themselves as well.

  8. And here’s a good idea of how busy it is and how likely you are to go under a boat:

What do they do when someone wants to swim it? Legitimately I mean, not a migrant chancing it.

  9. Seems to me the Eurocrats (and Macron is only nominally French) are grabbing every straw to continue project fear.
If the French want the port of Calais disabled the that is up to them.
Though I’d have thought they have enough problems to be going on with.

  10. Maquereau’s inevitable failure in the face of striking unions and a failed coalition is going to be quite sweet.

  11. I think the original Mr “Get used to (MONA) terrorism you Proles” was Manuel Valls (the French prime minister, not the German sausage magnate) rather than the weird and vacuous child-groom Macron.

Pure pendantry, I know, and to be sure Macron’s copper-bottomed all-round loathsomeness is beyond question.

  12. As any fule kno’ the calais treaty is as much in the frogs’ favour as ours – nobody will take the migrants to the uk as they wouild be kicked out and sent back as soon as, and create chaos for everybody.

And they don’t sail across the med, they are ferried across by our expensively maintained navies aided and abetted by various NGO CM scum ((c) Mr Ecks) having fished them out of the water just outside Tripoli fucking harbour.

    It is beyond mental.

  13. TMB: That just shows that Macron is not even original in his arseholery but is a cheap reprint of Gallic scum who have gone before.

  14. No Bloke in Italy. It isn’t mental.

It is deliberate and calculated. The scum know exactly what they are doing.

Which why they must ultimately hang.

  15. “It’s not like the ferry companies are going to sell them tickets and let them on, is it?”

Yes, it is. The French state will probably pay their fare discreetly, possibly via a ‘charity’. Much as the Italians were (are?) exporting migrants to France.

Never under-estimate the resentment that graduates of École nationale d’administration (ENA) feel for Perfidious Albion. The defeat of Napoleon and the humiliation of the Fashoda Incident loom large in the ENA’s outlook.

  16. Uh, interesting how the instinct is slow to adjust. I went through a couple of minutes of huffing at this before I realised i don’t have to care anymore.

  17. I see the Swedish solution applying.
ID checked upon arrival in the country. Transport company fined (IIRC ca. £3000] for every illegal traveler.

Fixed the immigration to SE from DK pretty sharpish. (It was a bitch on the trains for a while though)

  18. “What do they do when someone wants to swim it? Legitimately I mean, not a migrant chancing it.”

They have support boats with AIS transmitters and other electronics.

When I’m crossing I have an AIS receiver and can see where those boats are and an App that calculates closes point of approach and time to it. If I’m worried I give the a call on the emegerncy channel of its their duty to avoid me, of its my duty to avoid them I make a manoeuvre that is obvious that I am aware and taking action.

    Rob,

It may not be to scale now but given the growth in the size of those boats it won’t be long until it is.

  19. Yes, it is. The French state will probably pay their fare discreetly, possibly via a ‘charity’. Much as the Italians were (are?) exporting migrants to France.

Can’t see that working, the ferry companies would get serious fines for each illegal traveller just as planes do these days. I can’t really see much difference other than the ferries having to pay for the security currently provided by the UK and French governments.

  20. BiND,

I’ve had officers of the watch tell me that the English Channel is more stressful than the Straits of Hormuz for a night transit…

  21. I see the Swedish solution applying.

The solution which was applied after the Swedish government said “Come in, all of you!” and then about 5 minutes later said “Fuck…”.

  22. DJ:
I hope you’re right. But I can see migrants, fares funded by a French ‘charity’ and travelling on fake passports, turning up at the UK border and claiming asylum. The Tunnel and ferries will say they can’t detect false passports….

  23. Is France really such an inhumane god-forsaken shithole that people really have legitimate claims to flee from there and seek asylum elsewhere?

  24. I’m currently down in Paignton and there is a regular procession of ships dropping off or picking up pilots from Brixham to take them through the Channel. I dunno what the rules are about having to have a pilot. Perhaps it’s a company thing. A lot of them are vehicle carrier ships, with (I guess) lots of shiny Mercs & Audis on board.

  25. The French flee France – ever noticed how many French live in London?

Christ, we have a bunch of the smelly bastards here in Central Ohio. France must be a boatload of fun these days… When Froggies decide living in Obetz beats living in Paris, something isn’t adding up.

  26. Theo, not sure the fake passports make a difference. They embarked in France, we can argue they should have sought asylum there.

Unless they can make the case that France isn’t safe for them, I don’t see that they can get anything other than tourist entry.

  27. NielsR:

I fear the French will simply refuse to take them back, saying that the migrants will only head back to Calais. The migrants will wail about their ooman rites…

    DJ:

With no UK border control based in France, fake passports are unlikely to be detected before embarcation. If, post-brexit, hauliers, ferries and Eurotunnel tighten up security to prevent stowaways, and the French keep on clearing away the camps, migrants may well resort to fake passports. The desire to reach the UK is immensely strong in the minds of many low-IQ, rapey sub-saharans.

  28. @Raffles
“I see the Swedish solution applying.
ID checked upon arrival in the country. Transport company fined (IIRC ca. £3000] for every illegal traveler.”

It does already. The reason for the treaty is to stop Eurostar going bust. Macron will soon hear this from Eurostar and the ferry companies. We dont put our border controls in France to widen the horizons of our border staff, and the French dont let them in out of the kindness of their hearts.

  29. DB is of course right in principle, we do need to accommodate asylum seekers, especially undocumented ones, whilst their cases are being sorted out. Just letting them in and trusting them to be cooperative doesn’t work.
But even at black hole of Calcutta density his proposed accommodation is too small. May I suggest At. Helena, or maybe Ascension island, or South Georgia?

  30. we do need to accommodate asylum seekers

Some of you are not very welcoming.

I would suggest, whilst applications are being considered, a fully paid for luxury cruise? To take in some interesting sights?

First stop could be say somewhere down in the Med. Places like Algiers can be very attractive, and have fascinating histories?

  31. “As any fule kno’ the calais treaty is as much in the frogs’ favour as ours ”

Beats me which fules believe that.
The reason the French have a problem at Calais is that any of the enrichment hanging around there believe, with good reason, the other side of La Manche is Fat City. With good reason because the UK policy to deal with migrants is duck-down soft. And the border control the other side of the Channel is non-existent.
The current treaty serves to dump the problems on the French whilst enabling their neighbours across the way to continue posturing about their wunnerful ‘uman rights record. If they’d had any sense they would have abrogated the treaty a dozen years ago & left the Brits to sort out their own immigration mess.
Worth remembering, the arrangement is supposed to be reciprocal. The UK border’s in France. The French border’s in Dover. Anyone who’s experienced the UK’s reciprocal defence of the French frontier will know it’s fucking pantomime. As a white unaccompanied, middle aged male commuting on the ferries twice a week I was getting pulled for a security check every crossing. Because WUMAM’s present no problems to Border Control jobsworths. Cars full of swarthy Middle-Easterners with a couple of brats in tow, however, might actually require said jobworths to do their jobs. So breeze through without a second glance in their direction

  32. To add to the above:
When I say security pantomime I do mean security pantomime. What is supposed to achieved by requiring the occupants of a car to get out of the vehicle, empty their clothes of all metallic items, pass through a metal detector & then get back in a car that throughout the procedure has been totally ignored is a complete mystery. Once you get used to it, you’ve already taken off your watch, emptied your change etc conveniently onto the passenger seat before you get pulled over. Presumably you could do the same with your RPG or portable nuclear weapon & leave them in the care of the trio of ISIL terrorists concealed under the travel rug on the back seat.

  33. BIS – of course I agree with you about security theatre it is all utter bollocks.

However you imply the frogs are therefore doing us a favour by the Calais treaty.

As any fule kno’ the frogs never do us favours ergo it is as much for their convenience as ours, and that is why the obnoxious twat macron will be unsuccessful at renogotiating it.

  34. BiS

LOL… I’ve never yet encountered that, which does sound bizarre!

Perhaps (re the frequency) you just look a bit dodgy..:)

Re those hiding under the travel rug, I was under the impression (though could be wrong) that there are infra red detectors at the security checks. Ie 3 people ostensibly in the car, then expect 3 to have shown up on the sensors? Or is that FUD?

There is certainly enough technical gadgetry as you pass through – all of it theatre or does some of it work?

  35. Of course, we should just say we can’t possibly discuss anything until the allow us free access to EU markets.

    And then say “non”.

We haven’t had 40 years in Europe without learning at least something.

  36. This is exactly why Brexit was necessary if not sufficient to secure the future of our country.

It is absolutely insane that the Calais invasion barracks are allowed to exist in the first place. We have these awesome things called planes, trains and automobiles now, which allow for the rapid removal of unwanted kebab.

Any self-respecting country would have long ago sent in the gendarmes to round them up, beat the shit out of any resistance, and sent them on their not-so-merry way back to Whogivesafuckistan. This isn’t like putting men on the Moon or digging the bloody Suez Canal, it’s a simple policing job that can be done with nothing more sophisticated than a fleet of buses and some truncheons.

We need a sea change in our political culture to rid us of the kind of people who think it’s a good idea to import hordes of knife-wielding, benefits-snaffling 28-year-old “children” from the scrofulous armpits of the Third World.

Brexit is a small, but hugely important step towards sanity, for no longer will our pols be able to hide behind the EU and its cuckold-fetish-inspired demographic suicide schemes.

  37. Steve
You seem to have missed the events. The frogs often send in the gendarmes, CRS etc to beat the shit out of the migrants, then bus them to some other shithole in France.
Back they come. Continue their civil war (burning their own camps down).

    England must be great!

  38. @PF
Put a space blanket over someone & they won’t show IR much different from the ambient. Why those up to a bit of skullduggery use them to fox IR detectors protecting buildings.
Eventually a hot-spot will penetrate the metallised plastic but it’s viable for short term use. Like getting through a security check

  39. “The desire to reach the UK is immensely strong in the minds of many low-IQ, rapey sub-Saharans”

Need to make it much more shit. And deport undecided cases to the Falklands, unless they decide to own up to somewhere they would prefer to be delivered.

It is a tiny step towards sanity, but it really needs to be followed up with much more because, for some bizarre reason, we are still importing terrorists and child rapists from Pakistan and other vibrant destinations.

And I am not sure it will be a simple job to fortify the borders and protect against mass 3rd world invasion, given rapidly declining/aging populations in the West, and the massive demographic bulge currently being felt from the Islamic world, to be followed by the mother of all demographic tidal waves from Africa. We might simply be swept away in the face of it, especially when we are so self hating and unable to act.

  41. BiS,

“When I say security pantomime I do mean security pantomime. ”

Indeed. All airports use the same equipment, processes and procedures. All it needs is for a terrorist group to find a hole in one of the,m and a simultaneous arrack will cause absolut mayhem.

  42. BiND
If you’ve ever done a bottle of arrack…. yep. Mayhem. Absolut’s not bad though.

  43. Tomsmith: “It is a tiny step towards sanity, but it really needs to be followed up with much more because, for some bizarre reason, we are still importing terrorists and child rapists from Pakistan and other vibrant destinations. ”

The “we(e)” you refer to is the scum of the middle class left. Before the RoP can be scotched the left must be smashed good and proper.
