Welcome to the mob

Or perhaps that’s The Mob

A man who was mistaken for a Tory councillor and beaten up by activists who stormed Kensington Town Hall in the wake of the Grenfell Tower tragedy has been left injured and badly shaken by the incident.

Robert Outram, 56, had spent much of last week volunteering at the makeshift shelters set up to help victims of the deadly blaze.

A mob has a lower collective IQ than that of the lowest member of the mob. And given that we’re talking about Momentum activists here that’s pretty low.

  1. Volunteering without state compulsion? He sounds like a filthy capitalist. Burn him at the stake.

  2. Expect more of this on Wednesday, when the rentamob takes to the streets.

And don’t expect the police to do anything, we saw how hopeless they were when terrorist supporters marched in London at the weekend.

  3. As someone tweeted last week: strange how it’s not possible to pin terrorism to any particular ideology, but while the building is still in flames everyone knows that it’s the Tories’ fault…

  4. JuliaM,
Champagne socialists have jobs. I predict Wednesday’s turnout will be rather poor.

  5. He was head of income collection at Islington Council before setting up his own company, Westgem Consultancy, which provides debt recovery advice and interim management to public and private sector clients.

  6. What is it about the left that weaves a magic on the young-ish?

My three adult sons support Corbyn, the degree varying in direct inverse proportion to their age.

They nod sagely when Corbyn says May has blood on her hands, but when I say Corbyn’s activists, in their quest to foment a bit of class war in tragic circumstances, do, in fact have real blood on their hands, they groan and say that’s typically right wing.

  7. It seems that all White men are legitimate targets now. I expect to see more of this after this mornings attack on muslims.

  8. Bring it on.

Dealing with leftist shite is not the problem.

The fact the scum of the supposed “justice” system is on their side is a much worse issue.

John Miller–suggest to your kids that they look into the 80 odd Venezuelans killed by Maduro’s armed leftist scum in the last 3 months( strange how the left’s love of gun control vanishes when its their scum with the guns). Jezza’s attempts to gain political capital out of violent death have strangely ignored these deaths. He has repeatedly endorsed the Venezuelan regime after all.

Indeed he could keep the whole process in-house and use the 150 million murdered by socialism–so far.

If that has no effect on your lads invite them to dinner and kill them. Physically if you are up to it or poison if you aren’t.

No disrespect intended but if 3 leftists are your legacy to the world it would be better had your seed remained unplanted.

  9. Strangely, this is not a story dominating the headlines on BBC, channel 4, or sky. YET

  10. “No disrespect intended but if 3 leftists are your legacy to the world it would be better had your seed remained unplanted.”

Ouch! I was going to suggest that he clearly didn’t beat them enough when they were kids, and chickened out..:)

  11. By adult, John Miller, I hope you mean something along the lines of 18, 20 and 22, any older and the condition is unlikely to be curable.

I was actually a member of the Labour Party in my mid-teens, but by the time I was old enough to vote I enthusiastically supported and voted for St Margaret Hilda.

  12. When even the Telegraph won’t say that this was a far-Left inspired riot we really are in trouble.

  13. “Robert Outram, 56, had spent much of last week volunteering at the makeshift shelters set up to help victims of the deadly blaze.”

I suppose the sad conclusion must be that the best advice is to steer clear of such people.

  14. “I suppose the sad conclusion must be that the best advice is to steer clear of such people.”

    Diversity + Proximity = War

  15. Slightly off topic, should whiteys now expect a backlash given a terrorist attack against Muslims?

  16. It isn’t the age it’s the stupidity that is worrying when they are your kids. I tell mine to challenge and ask themselves “why are they saying that and what has to be true for this to make sense? Is it true?” Wide general knowledge helps establish the “what needs to be true” test as a high bar.

Isn’t always successful but my eldest has held out as the only right winger amongst a bunch of lefty school boys at his *elite London private day school*. I find it scary when even the historical right wing incubators are bringing up lefties

  17. How many of these far-Left riots end with arrests and prosecutions? Very very few. And the tone of the article implies it wouldn’t have been such an issue if he HAD been a Tory councillor.

  18. Doesn’t the fact that the mob targeted the victim because of what they thought were his beliefs, make it a “hate crime”?

  19. ‘A man who was mistaken for a Tory councillor and beaten up by activists’

Had he been a real Tory councillor, it would have been okay. I presume.

  20. @ BiW
But Tories are not human so it should just be a case for the RSPCA – oh wait: the RSPCA would prosecute for far less.

    @ Gamecock
Had he been a real Tory Councillor he might have been used to it and fought back – then Diane Abbott, Shadow Home Secretary, would have demanded that he be prosecuted for assault.
