Well, if that’s what the punters want I suppose

There’s never a dull week under the Trump presidency. In addition to pushing a healthcare plan that would leave 22 million without coverage, the president has spent his mornings this last week attacking a cable news host in a bratty, sexist tirade.

We already knew Donald Trump was a raving misogynist, but having a leader in uncertain times who whines about petty grievances instead of running the country does not exactly inspire confidence. The best thing I can say about this week is: at least it’s Friday.

The, err, deep thoughts of Ms. Valenti are The G’s most viewed piece.

Bet Polly’s so proud about how feminism turned out.

  1. Donald is really ‘Jack the lad’ . Perhaps he could run Australia for a while – as a hobby.

  2. Remind me again who appointed the first female campaign manager to run and win a Presidential election? Trump has his weaknesses, but he hasn’t yet turned the Oval Office into a massage parlour.

  3. “We already knew Donald Trump was a raving misogynist”

Which doesn’t cut through at all when written by ladies who go damp-gussetted at the thought of Bill Clinton getting all mysogynistic with them behind the woodshed.

  4. We already knew Donald Trump was a raving misogynist, but having a leader in uncertain times who whines about petty grievances instead of running the country does not exactly inspire confidence.

There is no evidence that Trump is a misogynist. Indeed he has shown repeatedly that he loves women. Young, beautiful and thin ones in particular. But if he was, so what? Who cares?

Whining about petty grievances is pretty much what all the Left does these days – and Obama was famous for it. At least Trump is not whining about petty grievances involving his own White grandmother that are presumably pure fiction.

  5. Ms Valenti is not smart enough to recognise that the NRA’s ad was a *prediction* of Leftist violence, not a call for it. And they were right. Two days later a Leftist tried to kill a group of Republicans.

Legislators in Missouri are considering legislation that would make it legal for employers and landlords to discriminate against women who use birth control, so I’m at a full 10. Someone send help, or Xanax.

Somehow I feel it is too late for Xanax. But what is wrong with this law? I am sure that Ms Valenti thinks it is fine to force the Catholic Church to hire and house abortionists. But I am not sure there is a public interest in doing so. If you want to have an abortion I would suggest being a Catholic School teacher is not the job for you – and the School has every right to make that clear.

Well, if James Bond is a misogynist then, of course, Donald Trump must be. 😐

In reality, accusations of misogyny are just another tired old brush to hit men with who will not conform to the Baby Doc Trudeau image of a modern liberal man who bends over backwards for womyn and the gayers.

  7. “…but having a leader in uncertain times who whines about petty grievances instead of running the country does not exactly inspire confidence.”

Trump seems quite good at getting the media to focus on petty grievances rather than on his relatively successful roll back of lefty government.

  8. ‘We already knew Donald Trump was a raving misogynist’

    Argumentum ad ignorantium.

    Her assertion is just noise.
