Err, yes, but who?

Senior investigating officer Matt Bonner was met with cries of “arrest someone” as he said the investigation would “not be quick but it would be thorough”.

Grenfell was horrible, but who is it that should be arrested?

  1. Any Tory, who is by definition evil, will do to placate the baying mob and further Jeremy’s ambitions.

  2. Any Evil Tory will do,( After all, they’re all guilty of being irredeemably right-wing.) but definitely not the gentleman with the combustible fridge.

  3. Start with the civil servants & local council officials hurling taxpayer cash willy-nilly at these people with no discernible limit or audit!

  4. I may be old fashioned but, in a country that follows the rule of law, I think that maybe we should wait for evidence of an actual crime before deciding who to arrest.

  5. @Matthew L: “Then the poor bastard gets to be a scapegoat instead of a shit.”

We don’t pursue scapegoats in this country unless they have broken the law, no matter how many effnics shout & scream & get sympathetic pandering ‘Guardian’ articles written about them.

    Or, what Geoff Taylor said.

Why can’t you get that through your head? They are Third Worlders who can’t be expected to know any better. What’s your excuse?

  6. ‘On a Spring Day in 1793 a crowd of angry men burst their way through the doors of the assembly room where the French Convention was in session. A discomforted figure addressed them from the rostrum: “What do the people desire?” he asked “The convention has only their welfare at heart?”

The leader of the angry crowd replied: “the people haven’t come her to be given a lot of phrases, they demand a dozen guilty men”‘

Could exactly describe the howling mob of Momentum, orchestrated by talentless know-nothings like Lammy (and indeed the entire Shadow Front Bench) The worry is they look like winning and I only have the oracular qualities of The Inimitable Steve assuring me they won’t (and he predicted Trump and Brexit), and a belief I can get my assets safely to Luxembourg before they close off flights permanently keeping me sane…..

“The worry is they look like winning…”

They do, which is little short of terrifying. BtL landlords like me will be in for rough time. And I can’t move such fixed assets out of the country. Why Luxembourg, btw?

  8. They could accept the Labour view that murder was done and arrest the MP for K&C as an accessory to that murder. Then they could arrest all the councils – predominantly Labour – that installed the same cladding, for attempted murder.

  9. dearieme…if only that were to happen there would be a world-wide shortage of popcorn.

  10. “We don’t pursue scapegoats in this country unless they have broken the law”

That would be ideal, but do you seriously believe that it won’t happen?

“They are Third Worlders who can’t be expected to know any better. What’s your excuse?”

For what, hinking that the anger of the mob will lead to some poor sod being stitched up for something that wasn’t his fault? What utopia do you think you live in?

  11. They could arrest Emma Dent Coad as a Director of the Company at the time that it decided to install flammable cladding so, in law, responsible for turning a small fire into a disaster.

  12. “I may be old fashioned but, in a country that follows the rule of law, I think that maybe we should wait for evidence of an actual crime before deciding who to arrest.”

That country no longer exists. As others have pointed out, if you import third-worlders, you get the third world and the Labour party are more than happy to enable that.

  13. Gentlemen–VP, Theo, etc–reload your bollocks with a larger size of stone.

The issue is not them winning–but May losing.

When will that useless, cowardly minger and her crew start fighting back?

How can you lose against a death-cult with the blood of 150 million on their hands? By being fucking stupid enough to not mention that fact–there’s the start.

As for Grenfell–the place only exists as a survival of an earlier round of socialist bullshit failed Utopia–aided and abetted by BluLabour as ever. Have we heard any of this from the army of applied moral cowardice known as the Tory party?

BTW–It should be a simple calculation for someone with knowledge of where to find demographic info –to work out just how much young snot is in the UK and might vote for ZaNu .That at least might give a realistic idea of what the “youth sell-out” might be at full flood . Rather than have loads of folk all peeing their pants about politicised opinion poles that aren’t worth shit since the left are behind them.

  14. Its funny, what we have here is the native authorities coming face to face with one of the mini Lagos or Karachis they have created within the UK.

‘Who do these people think they are? Don’t they know their role is to kneel in obeisance at our Stately Wonderousness? Thats what the natives always do when we’re fucked up royally, and accidentally killed some of them. I mean we offed thousands of old white folk in Stafford and no-one even got prosecuted. Pensions all round. What is going on here???’

Family reasons – moving the children will be devastating for the wider family (although once Mcdonnell sets up re-education camps they’ll have a lot more to worry about) so we have to look at somewhere in reasonably close proximity. The US is also an option – I eschewed property investment partly because of the then remote possibility of a Corbyn regime. I don’t think any of the people who think it couldn’t happen understand. Once he is in, he will never be out and all your assets will be seized – hence the need to get them out now.

Ecks – I agree it should be time to man up but I worry for my children. Infanticide is commonplace in the Principal state run along Corbynite lines and when small children are at stake perhaps I get a little more anxious than normal – not ideal, obviously but perhaps comprehensible?

  16. What I predicted a few threads back is starting to happen. The council is saying (something like) “we’ve accounted for all 150 known residents” and protestors are complaining “no, there were 600 residents!”. The council is replying “we’ve gone through all 96 tenancies, and have accounted for all 150 residents…”

  17. Greenpeace are just as responsible for the green candles as anyone who was involved in approving the cladding, and fitting it. So arrest them.

Have the authorities released the number of bodies recovered yet?
