My word, eh?

John Conyers, currently the longest-serving member of Congress, is to step down from the House Judiciary Committee, after being embroiled in allegations of sexual harassment.

Mr Conyers, 88, is to recuse himself from the Committee while it conducts an ethics investigation into the allegations which involve a former member of his staff.

It’s para 7 (well beyond normal reading span) by the time we learn that he’s a D.

Still, there’s rather a Churchill moment there at the thought that an 86 year old was harrassing the staff, isn’t there?

  1. Yes, it’s getting out of hand, read Christina Hoff Summers, but it is interesting that so many vocal lefties are getting accused.

It is not satisfying and I know Mr. Ecks’s take on the matter, but the level of hypocrisy among the virtue-signallers is of truly epic proportions.

    Dems, luvvies…

And all thos empowered women, who it turns out, were wimpier than me!

Projection, projection, projection. Its all the Left know.

They behave like a bunch of racist sexist arseholes in private to actual people, while in public spouting all the usual PC platitudes, so they assume their opponents must be worse, because a) they often disagree with some of the public PC platitudes, so definitely must be beating their women and keeping slaves in the cellar in private, and b) they’re Evil Rightwingers anyway, so can’t possible behave better that the Left do.

Well, that shows the right-wing bias of the Telegraph. If it was the Guardian or the BBC it might not be mentioned at all.

George HW Bush is 93, confined to a wheelchair, and still manages to molester women.

  5. So Much For Subtlety

Mr Conyers, a Democrat who entered the House of Representatives in 1965 and is a co-founder of the Congressional Black Caucus, has been under mounting pressure since details emerged of the complaint which was made by the former staffer in 2015.

Same paragraph they point out he is Black. Although the picture kind of gives it away. Membership of the Congressional Black Caucus simply means you have not been indicted yet. It is just a matter of time. African American voters clearly do not mind a whole lot of criminal activity in their representatives.

I assume he is being cut loose because he is rumoured to be suffering from some form of mental degeneration. Not merely for using tax payers money to buy off his sexual harassment targets. But who knows? I see that Pelosi, the creepy little hypocrite, couldn’t bring herself to say he had to go.

  6. Bloke in Costa Rica

Conyers is utterly vile. He’s a full-blown communist and in a just society would have been removed, preferably with a mop and bucket, years ago.
