My apologies

The story of one man’s pregnancy: ‘It felt joyous, amazing and brilliant”

No, sorry, I’ll not buy it.

OK, sure, pregnancy is all of that. Equally, I’m just certain that the individual believes themselves to be a man, presents as such more often than not and might even have gained the legal right to be considered as such.

I’d even call xe him just to be polite.

But someone with functioning ovaries and womb to the point of being able to carry a child to term simply isn’t male in any useful sense of the definition. Sure, I’m a social dinosaur so eat my shorts.

  1. The Unused Testicle

It’s all part of the exercise to degrade the language to the Humpty Dumpty point, straight out of the Orwell manual.

Get the grammar wrong and you’re a fascist, racist or whatever insult they care to hurl your way.

  2. “But someone with functioning ovaries and womb to the point of being able to carry a child to term simply isn’t male”

Does that mean that someone without those isn’t female then?

  3. “Does that mean that someone without those isn’t female then?”

A bicycle with its wheels removed is still a bicycle, just not mechanically complete.

    A bicycle with three wheels isn’t a bicycle, it’s a tricycle.

  4. Last time I checked, the hole at the tip of my glans penis is a max of a few mm in diameter. I assume all other men are about the same. That’s the only possible opening that could be used for any man to produce a child.

How could I possibly squeeze 8 or 9lb of screaming newborn child through that?

  5. You are supposed to go along with the wilful destruction of Western Civilization.

    ‘Photograph: Sara Davidmann’

    So is she a man?

    ‘but kept his ovaries’

    Wut?

    ‘By Paula Cocozza’

Spanish for ‘had a cock?’ Was ‘she’ born Paul?

I think we need a program to know the players.

  6. The quote from him? Its the same quote I’ve heard from women.
Doesn’t tell me anything I didn’t know before.

  7. So where will it be delivering? If the hospital turns the delivery room into a mixed ward that infringes on the rights of the other patients.
Gynaecologist or urethrologist if there are complications?
How does the birth certificate for the poor issue get filled in?
Bloody pantomime! We’re insane to join the trannies in their little games.

  8. Isn’t having a baby letting the transgender team down? I thought the point of being ‘trans’ was a belief you are not the sex you were at birth.

A ‘man’ having a baby rather contradicts that.

  9. As you know, I’m on the trans spectrum. And I have to say, you are right on this one. You cannot change biology. You can change the outward appearance of the body and make it function partially as the opposite sex, but it is still a facsimile. GRS is glorified plastic surgery. It doesn’t change chromosomes and if it hasn’t been done, the the body will continue to function in the biological sex of birth. You cannot change the laws of biology. That’s why I will never transition and for the most time, I present as born. The stuff in my head, I can deal with.

  10. There is some interesting debate out there.

If a man with no visible appearance or genetic suggestion otherwise can present as a woman because (s)he feels that (s)he is a woman then can I present as a black man. Despite similarly lacking any visible or chromosomal support for my claim?

Over to a SJW snowflake to explain why it’s “different” and I can’t.

  11. @Longrider.

    Which bit of Bristol?

I see you commented on your site about a driverless Uber car killing a woman. At least it didn’t rape her.

  12. As usual The Guardian employs writers with some curious bodily rearrangements in this case the head is up the large colon and the penis has been mounted in its place atop the shoulders.

Probably pierced and tattooed as well.

  13. “If a man with no visible appearance or genetic suggestion otherwise can present as a woman because (s)he feels that (s)he is a woman then can I present as a black man. Despite similarly lacking any visible or chromosomal support for my claim?

Over to a SJW snowflake to explain why it’s “different” and I can’t.”

Seriously?! After the number of times it’s been explained?

When people have (for example) a ‘broken’ version of the androgen receptor gene, brain cells in the developing fetus don’t respond to dihydrotestosterone, and parts of the brain develop along the ‘female’ pattern. The rest of the body develops according to the ‘male’ pattern. (These differences show up in brain scans.) They’re both sexes at the same time – it depends which bit of them you’re talking about.

Although it is possible to tell whether somebody genuinely likes Marmite by putting them in a brain scanner, feeding them the stuff, and seeing how it lights up, it’s generally considered to be far easier to simply ask them.

I know there are some people who have a near religious conviction that it’s physically impossible for anyone to like the stuff, and that everyone who says they do is lying or deluded, or playing some elaborate joke on the world, but it’s a minority view.

“How could I possibly squeeze 8 or 9lb of screaming newborn child through that?”

Haven’t you ever heard about how the Spotted Hyena gives birth? 🙂

  14. @NiV, yes, we’ve all heard of the spotted hyena’s reproductive quirks. We’re discussing humans here.

Unless anyone identifies as a spotted hyena, I suppose…

  15. @NiV

“When people have (for example) a ‘broken’ version of the androgen receptor gene……..etc”

And you’re telling me that every (s)he out there protesting about their right to be whatever they want to be has had this test then?

And that the (s)he community insists on it being done?

“parts of the brain develop along the ‘female’ pattern”

Which parts? What % of the brain being ‘female’ means you’d support a bloke getting his cock cut off?

Female pattern? I look forward to understanding why this has nothing to do with the gender pay gap which is all down to male suppression of women who are completely equal in every respect.

Besides which, there’s a vestige of black DNA/Chromosomes in someone 1/64th black, no? So a little gene heritage should give you the right to declare yourself black? 1/128th? 1/256th?

  16. How could I possibly squeeze 8 or 9lb of screaming newborn child through that?

The baby won’t be the only one screaming.

Anyway, trans and pregnant – get them on a Labour all-women shortlist NOW, if only for the lols.

  17. The NiV tells us it’s genetic.

The Guardian tells us the story of a woman with a genetic condition’s pregnancy is ‘The story of one man’s pregnancy.’

Anyone not see this is propaganda? Does the Guardian ever STOP lying?

  18. Gentlemen,

I refer you to the case of Crepidula Fornicata, or very roughly translated from the Latin with a measure of interpretation, the ‘Farting Fucker’. Wikipedia tells us that:

“The species is a sequential hermaphrodite. The largest and oldest animals, at the base of a pile are female, the younger and smaller animals at the top are male. If the females in the stack die, the largest of the males will become a female…”

It also tells us that it is ‘invasive’. Like most trannies.

  19. NiV

“Haven’t you ever heard about how the Spotted Hyena gives birth?”

The male hyena is able to stick its erect cock into the female’s hole. Are you saying you’re so poorly endowed you would be able to fit your erect cock into the tiny aperture at the tip of mine?

  20. “And you’re telling me that every (s)he out there protesting about their right to be whatever they want to be has had this test then?”

Libertarians argue that everyone has a right to be whatever they want to be (or are), so long as it’s not doing anybody any harm. Authoritarians argue that society has the right and duty to forbid people being what they want to be (or are) if they personally don’t like it, don’t agree with it, are disgusted or offended by it, or think it’s bad for the person concerned or for the moral fabric of society in general.

Do people who want to be smoker have to get some sort of test done? Or who want to be a Christian? Or who want to be an introvert? Or extrovert? Or who want to eat Marmite?

I mean, if we were so totally convinced that Marmite was a disgusting and aberrant habit that people needed to be protected from it for their own good, we could insist that so-called “Marmite-lovers” were deluded liars in need of psychiatric treatment, and should be ridiculed and denied if they ask to be named and treated as such.

And when doctors go to the lengths of putting Marmite-lovers into brain scanners just to *prove* to the sceptics that yes, it *is* possible to love Marmite, and that some people do, the response is to ask if everyone has been tested, and whether society should demand such tests before accepting anybody’s word for it?

    “Which parts?

    You want technical details?

“What % of the brain being ‘female’ means you’d support a bloke getting his cock cut off?”

    I’m a libertarian. It’s his/her cock. It’s his/her choice.

What % of the brain has to be “Marmite-lover” before you’d support someone eating Marmite?

“Female pattern? I look forward to understanding why this has nothing to do with the gender pay gap which is all down to male suppression of women who are completely equal in every respect.”

It has *everything* to do with it.

The gender pay gap is mostly down to females being far more likely to take career breaks and part time work when raising children, along with different career preferences (liking “people” and “caring” jobs more), and a different choice of work-vs-life trade-off. Men and women have broadly different personalities (but with plenty of overlap), at least partly because they have different brain anatomy.

You believe in innate differences between male and female minds when it comes to the gender pay gap, but you don’t believe there can be any when it comes to gender? Really?

  21. @NiV
The woman’s presumably had penetrative vaginal sex with a man.* Has become pregnant & given birth to a baby. How much evidence does she need that she’s a woman?
We have words for people who deny reality. Fruitloop would be kind in this case. Self obsessed, irresponsible nutter would be more accurate.

*Yeah OK. Turkey baster. But what would we call a genuine man attempting to get pregnant with a turkey baster? Fruitloop. By definition a person successfully attempting to get pregnant is a women because men don’t get pregnant. Or wish to.

So, all your “evidence” becomes irrelevant. By joining this discussion you comprehensively destroy your own case & sign on to the perceived fruitloop community.

  22. I thought this was a libertarian blog? Who the fuck cares about the labels? You’re being snowflakes again, you’re being offended by nothing.

  23. …you’re being offended by nothing

except the demand that we pay for it, either through taxes or insurance premiums. Take that off the table, and these poor people can mutilate themselves with abandon. That being said, I think it kinder to try and help them deal with their problems in a constructive way, rather than lopping off (or artificially building) body parts.

  24. “You’re being snowflakes again, you’re being offended by nothing.”

An unwillingness to go along with someone else’s delusions is not the same as being offended.
If, say, I were to style myself ‘Grand Emperor of the Universe’ and buy a snazzy outfit to go with it, could I demand that everyone else refers to me as such? Yes; and they’d be perfectly entitled to tell me to f**k off.

  25. “Hi NiV, just popped by to say I didn’t read your comments. Obvs.”

I’m just replying to tell you I don’t care whether you do or don’t.

“Has become pregnant & given birth to a baby. How much evidence does she need that she’s a woman? We have words for people who deny reality.”

There are two different definition of “woman” in use – “gender” (brain) and “sex” (genitals). The subject of the story is using “woman” in the gender sense – having sex and getting pregnant doesn’t contradict that.

You’re simply using a different definition to everyone else – and moreover, insisting that *your* definition is the only one anyone is allowed to used. There’s a word for people like that.

“If, say, I were to style myself ‘Grand Emperor of the Universe’ and buy a snazzy outfit to go with it, could I demand that everyone else refers to me as such? Yes; and they’d be perfectly entitled to tell me to f**k off.”

If you’re a PE teacher and some kid comes up to you and tells you they have a heart condition, you’re perfectly entitled to say you don’t believe it, that only old people get heart disease, not youngsters, and they’re either deluded or trying to get out of doing exercise.

And when they provide medical papers showing how kids *can* get heart disease, and a letter from their doctor who is treating them for it, and show you what the medical profession say about it, and the legislators, and even public opinion, you can continue to say you don’t believe it. For Reasons. And anyone who does is doing something equivalent to declaring themselves Emperor of the Universe.

And you can be genuinely, honestly, utterly convinced that your mental picture of reality in which children don’t have heart disease is the correct one, and the only possible truth. And everyone who insists otherwise is involved in a conspiracy to warp reality.

You are perfectly entitled as a teacher to tell the kids complaining about it to fuck off. Nevertheless, you probably won’t stay employed long as a teacher if you do.

  26. “If you’re a PE teacher and some kid comes up to you and tells you they have a heart condition,”

Not really a very good analogy. The diagnosis and treatment of heart problems is not medically controversial.

  27. “Not really a very good analogy. The diagnosis and treatment of heart problems is not medically controversial.”

Neither is the diagnosis and treatment of gender dysphoria.

It’s socially controversial, like MMR vaccination is, but the medical profession have standard treatment guidelines on it, and treat the condition routinely.

  28. “Neither is the diagnosis and treatment of gender dysphoria.”

A mental disorder that had to be turned into a ‘disease’ to avoid hurting the feelings of those suffering from it.
What is the cause of so called ‘gender dysphoria’? A virus or bacteria? Perhaps a parasite or fungal infection? None of those, of course, just vague feelings of being in the ‘wrong’ body.
So yes, ‘gender dysphoria’ is controversial. However, as you say, medical professionals or academics who don’t go along with the charade can be hounded from their jobs.

  29. It’s socially controversial, like MMR vaccination is, but the medical profession have standard treatment guidelines on it, and treat the condition routinely.

I think the bit that you (consistently) fail to get is that nobody cares if you are a bloke that identifies as a bird and wants to wear dresses or whatever… Nobody cares what you do. Nobody.

    Or vice versa obvs.

The bit that we find bizarre and unacceptable is being expected to accept that a ‘person’ that is obviously female, being pregnant and all that is a man because they identify as such. They are not, and can never be a man no matter what %’age of their brain tells them that they are…

  30. “A mental disorder that had to be turned into a ‘disease’ to avoid hurting the feelings of those suffering from it.”

It’s not a mental disorder, or a disease. The medics are pretty explicit about that.

“What is the cause of so called ‘gender dysphoria’? A virus or bacteria?”

No. I just said. It’s the result of brain cells in the developing fetus not responding to dihydrotestosterone, as a result of complex genetic and developmental factors.

“So yes, ‘gender dysphoria’ is controversial. However, as you say, medical professionals or academics who don’t go along with the charade can be hounded from their jobs.”

Medics who say vaccination causes autism, or that disease is caused by evil spirits, can get hounded from their jobs, too. Everything’s a conspiracy, with you guys.

“I think the bit that you (consistently) fail to get is that nobody cares if you are a bloke that identifies as a bird and wants to wear dresses or whatever… Nobody cares what you do. Nobody.”

Which is why you all keep on bringing the subject up about twice a week, no doubt…

“The bit that we find bizarre and unacceptable is being expected to accept that a ‘person’ that is obviously female, being pregnant and all that is a man because they identify as such.”

Are you talking about their gender or their sex? Their gender is male. Their sex is female. Only the latter is “obvious”.

  31. @NiV “Do people who want to be smoker have to get some sort of test done?”

Do people who want to be black women have to have a test done? Even if most would assume from their appearance that they are white men?

Make up your mind. Either a few bits of brain mush are needed to make a man a woman or they just have to decide that they are.

    Which is it?

  32. “Do people who want to be black women have to have a test done? Even if most would assume from their appearance that they are white men?”

No. Albinos in Africa are generally pretty obvious.

“Make up your mind. Either a few bits of brain mush are needed to make a man a woman or they just have to decide that they are.”

I’ve already answered that. Several times. Are you going to keep asking until you get the answer you want?

To be an extrovert, do you have to just “decide you are”?

  33. No. Albinos in Africa are generally pretty obvious.

So are men pretending to be women. And vice versa usually.

  34. A reliable statistic of psychological traits is that women score highly on agreeablenss and avoiding confrontation whereas men are combative and like point scoring. I have yet to encounter an agreeable MTF trannie so I guess brain gender is either an extremely weak and or an highly selective effect.

  35. @NiV “No. Albinos in Africa are generally pretty obvious.”

I am not an albino. I am white.

But I am a black African.

    Because I say I am.

You sound pretty racist to me, denying my blackness.

  36. Are you talking about their gender or their sex? Their gender is male. Their sex is female. Only the latter is “obvious”.

It isn’t tho! It is a woman, calling it anything else is delusional…

I’m off on holiday this afternoon so took the dog to the kennels yesterday. If I took it to a cattery and insisted it identified as a cat they would (rightly) think I was bonkers…

  37. “I’m off on holiday this afternoon so took the dog to the kennels yesterday. If I took it to a cattery and insisted it identified as a cat they would (rightly) think I was bonkers…”

Suppose you were a mad surgeon from a horror movie who had transplanted a cat’s brain into a dog’s body. It thinks it’s a cat. But it looks like a dog.

Now, they might well think you’re bonkers for an entirely different reason, but it’s not because what you’re saying is untrue. It does indeed identify as a cat, because it’s a cat’s brain in a dog’s body. It thinks like a cat. It acts like a cat. It’s not ever going to play “fetch” with you. Considered as a personality, it’s a cat.

I think the problem here is that you guys don’t really believe in brains. You can only see the outer body, so you think nothing else exists. You think minds are imaginary.

  38. ^

    Bollocks

Abomination creating animal experimentation aside, its more like a dog that thinks its a cat.
It may try and act like a cat. It may exhibit some feline behaviours. But it will never be a cat and will never be able to do what cats can do.
The kind thing is to teach it the pleasures of being a dog and to accept that it will always be a dog, even if it may desire to be a cat.

  39. “My last comment was aimed at NiV”

    Clearly.

“The kind thing is to teach it the pleasures of being a dog and to accept that it will always be a dog, even if it may desire to be a cat.”

🙂 It’s an amusing idea! I’ve got a mental image now of you trying!

I really don’t think you can teach a cat to be a dog. It doesn’t work – because it’s not learnt behaviour in the first place. It’s hard-wired. Instinctive.

But I’m sure you knew that already.

  40. Except you aren’t teaching a cat to be a dog. You’re teaching a dog that it is actually a dog. Even though it thinks its a cat it isn’t.

And it can be shown that it isn’t a cat by demonstration of inability to do cat things, like jump really high or survive very large falls. (The latter may be a once only demonstration.)
But it can do dog things, like fetch and herd sheep.

Kind of torturing the metaphor a bit, but hey ho.

  41. Given the tortured analogy – a brain transplant between cat and dog – this chimera will, indeed, think it is a cat. Trying to demonstrate otherwise will be pointless as anyone who has ever tried to train a cat to do anything will attest.

@ Chernyy_Drakon Do try training a cat to fetch if you wish. Let me know how you got on 😀

  42. So you found an outlier. Jolly good. I have lived with numerous cats over the years and they are untrainable. A cat will do as it pleases and people will just have to accept it.

  43. Hi Longrider,

I’m sure they know very well what I’m talking about. But at this point, I reckon they’d disagree with me if I said the sky was blue and grass green, just out of principle!

I hope my stirring things up doesn’t cause you any problems. I enjoy a good argument, and it’s mainly a case of standing up for a theoretical libertarian principle with me, but I know other people have to live with it. (I have a couple of TG friends.)
