Eh?

Apparently it’s important to be civil. Whatever pageantry of violent intolerance is playing out in the news, liberals and women and people of colour must moderate our language so that certain sensitive Caucasian gentlemen in the room aren’t made uncomfortable. We must remember that their feelings matter. We must not, for example, point out that violent misogyny – from online harassment and stalking to domestic abuse – is the live wire running through the machinery of mass murder, white supremacy and far-right mobilisation in Trump’s America and beyond.

Yes, Laurie. I’m sure it’s not long now before the revival of Hostess Twinkies is a symbol and symptom of misogyny.

It’s the theme that connects the “incel” movement with Islamic State, the refrain that runs from 1930s Berlin to Washington in 2018.

  1. So basically nasty threats and blowhard talk of violence and harassment are a-ok if the scum of the left come up with them. And more credible since socialism has already murdered 150 million.

But if anyone not in the favoured group of the leftist elect says anything nasty to Penny Red they are the spawn of Satan.

I wonder if the evil little bitch got her laptop back off whoever nicked it.

If the thief wasn’t a druggie before they will be if they try to read any of Penny Red’s shite.

  2. A lefty suggesting that Trump’s daughter should be raped is not violent misogyny.

    No, of course not.

  3. It’s the theme that connects the “incel” movement with Islamic State, the refrain that runs from 1930s Berlin to Washington in 2018

A serious challenger for most deranged statement of the year. Serious challenger. The competition will candidly have to up their game. Paul Mason, Adonis, etc – tremble and despair!

  4. I’ve just read the article. Sub first year undergraduate level. Many structural faults and unsubstituted opinions. Must try harder.

    In other words…. Eh?

  5. “…. running through the machinery of mass murder, white supremacy and far-right mobilisation…”

Did I miss this actually happening, or is Laurie suffering from delusions? Of course, her rhetoric is intended to dehumanise supporters of President Trump, thus allowing leftists to rationalise their violence against them.

  6. “Evil always wins through the strength of its splendid dupes.” – G.K. Chesterton

    Penny isn’t particularly splendid.

‘Whatever pageantry of violent intolerance is playing out?’

There, fixed it for you with addition of question mark.

“In many of these mass shootings,” Jennifer Wright observed at Harper’s Bazaar, “the desire to kill seems to be driven by a catastrophic sense of male entitlement.”

    Well sourced: Harper’s Bazaar.

MS Penny, far from abhorring the violence, exploits it to push her CM agenda. The shooting in Maryland is an OPPORTUNITY!

‘We must not, for example, point out that violent misogyny – from online harassment and stalking to domestic abuse – is the live wire running through the machinery of mass murder, white supremacy and far-right mobilisation in Trump’s America and beyond.’

Absurd. Most mass shooters are Lefties. No matter what happens, the Left pins it on the right, and some portion of the population believes it all. The legacy press headlines the lies. Then sermonizes on the sanctity of journalists.

‘violent misogyny – from online harassment’

Words are not violence. She is delusional; her cause is surreal.

Their objective is to paint the right as evil. And anything – ANYTHING – to stop evil is acceptable.

As the Left agitates for violence in the U.S., I am amused that their 50 year war against gun ownership leaves them disarmed.

  7. Has anyone ever met a bully who didn’t tell you it’s your fault he has to beat you up?

  8. It’s the theme that connects the “incel” movement with Islamic State, the refrain that runs from 1930s Berlin to Washington in 2018.

So blokes wanting to get laid is “literally Nazism!”?

    Do fuck off love…

  9. Isn’t the “incel movement” what was, in previous times, a regular & pronounced oscillation of the wrist.

  10. @ John Fembup
    Yes
Probably because he had failed to do so.
If you stand up to bullies they often give up
The answser to Penny Red etc is to point out how wrong she is until the Grauniad freezes comments on her articles often enough for their management to cotton on how ridiculous she isa.

“If you stand up to bullies they often give up”

You would hope so, wouldn’t you?

It doesn’t always play out like that. A friend of mine’s son was being bullied in school, he suggested the ‘stand up to them’tactic: they battered him
