Terrible indeed

Internal Zimbabwean police documents passed to the Guardian suggest the army has been responsible for murder, rape and armed robbery during the ongoing brutal crackdown in the southern African country.

Just goes to show what happens when you give the state lots of power.

  1. South Africa is also becoming an increasingly murderously kleptocracy, but the important thing is not to draw any racist conclusions from these events.

  2. “…the army has been responsible for murder, rape and armed robbery …”

I’m totally shocked by these allegations. Obviously the only solution is to allow all Zimbabweans into the UK as refugees, where they will enrich us with their vibrant culture, and their brilliant scientists and engineers will help to lift the backward British out of the stone age.

  3. Not perfectly accurate. The murder, rape and armed robbery happen all the time, not only in commemoration of this special occasion.

  4. “Obviously the only solution is to allow all Zimbabweans into the UK as refugees, where they will enrich us with their vibrant culture, and their brilliant scientists and engineers will help to lift the backward British out of the stone age.”

Indeed, who else will rid us of this western science and modernity?

  5. BiND–25000 Youtube markdowns. +1 now. So we aren’t the only one to recognise socialist shite when we see it. Were I PM Plod would have swooped on that little kaffeeklatch and all of them would be breaking rocks.

There is much work to be done.

  6. Wow.

Remove the State backing of the “murder, rape and armed robbery” AND THE GRUADNIAB NOTICES SOMETHING!

  7. ” Indeed, who else will rid us of this western science and modernity?”

Ah. modern South Africa – Wakanda Awakes!

  8. To be fair to the crazy girl in the video, magic exists for some people if they believe it. From an empirical viewpoint magic of the sort the girl describes is unlikely to work, but for those who believe in it it is “real”. In the same way religion and a belief in a God are real. It’s real in the same way as CAGW is real – it’s a religious belief with little to do with science.

That said, proper science with falsifiable hypotheses and testing is how we have achieved progress. The amusing thing is that Newtonian physics is not the end point, because we have Einstein and quantum mechanics, which also has some issues.

    Her belief reminds me of:
