So she was indeed Pocahontas

Senator Elizabeth Warren was once again forced to address her past claims of Native American heritage on Tuesday, as the Washington Post reported the senator and Democratic candidate for president listed her race as “American Indian” on her registration for the Texas state bar more than three decades ago.

The yellow registration card, which is dated April 1986, was filled out in blue ink and signed by Warren, the Post reported. The paper said her office did not dispute the card’s authenticity.

Not as bad as her actual policies but still….

  1. Delightful to see the American left eat itself. Fairly soon, every white democrat over the age of 40 will be officially reclassified as a Nazi and they’ll have to run with halfwits like Ocado-Corduroy.

  2. Not necessarily a problem. You can believe it doesn’t matter what race i am so it doesn’t matter what i put down on a form. The second you start saying it matters then there’s a problem. But porkies on a state law registration document does indeed look bad, just coz porkies.

  3. Interesting that WaPo have surfaced this now. I’ve mentioned before in these parts that Scott Adams’ view is (and has been for a while now) that the US media had already decided that Kamala Harris would be the Dems Presidential candidate, and that it would therefore be all be sunny news for Harris, but more cloudy stories would creep out about the others. And so it seems to be coming to pass…

  4. If that’s the worst they’ve got on an American pol she must be pretty clean otherwise. I mean, compare and contrast with Hellary. Or even this Harris bint.

Which is worse, getting to the top by playing the race card, albeit untruthfully, or getting to the top by playing the race card and shagging the biggest political fixer in the state?

Tulsi Gabbard for me – but since she espouses a sane foreign policy she’s doomed. Anyway, if the fuckers wouldn’t vote for a Mormon when he was obviously the better candidate, would they vote for a Hindu? I’ve been advising Trump for ages to dump Pence and make Gabbard his running mate. But he pays no heed. Blub.

  5. Obama claimed to be Kenyan for 15 years, til it didn’t help him anymore – in fact, became a liability. Followed by Lefty huffery and puffery when Republicans pointed it out.

There is nothing new about Lefties gaming the systems THEY create.

  6. There has been a certain “trendiness” in being able to claim you are part Indian. And fairly, there may be some pride in it rather than considering it to be something to be hidden as may have been the case with earlier generations. However, the blonde blue eyed Ms. Warren (were there no mirrors in her house growing up?) clearly sought to advance her career by claiming minority status.

It does work, by the way, my own half Hispanic kids were granted admittance into better grade schools because they were underprivileged minorities (just ask ’em), though we ended up sending them to Catholic school

I used to deal with a contractor who was a well respected heavy equipment contractor and who was genuinely half Indian and enrolled in his tribe (which Ms Warren never was). I asked him once why he didn’t claim minority business status. He said it was too intrusive about his private affairs and that he could win jobs without it based on his reputation.

  7. @Flubber 12.48pm – “Oh and Kamala Harris is a bigger cunt than Hillary, so watch out USA…”. Oh yes, search for her ‘interrogation’ during the confirmation hearings of the nominated CIA director (I think it was – I will have to check). She spent most of the time asking questions that had absolutely nothing to do with security (in the CIA sense) Global Warming stuff amongst it. An amazing combination of cuntery and stupidity on display there. Was staggering.

@dearieme 1.28pm – “If that’s the worst they’ve got on an American pol she must be pretty clean otherwise. I mean, compare and contrast with Hellary. Or even this Harris bint.”. Who knows, but if there is more, then this further little revelation will be the least worst I guess.

@Gamecock 1.31pm – “There is nothing new about Lefties gaming the systems THEY create”. Quite. That’s why they create them!

  8. This is wonderful, on the basis of my ex-wife and nephews’ ethnicity and my three years’ residency, I’m going to identify as Chinese. It will raise my IQ five points and employability 10%. Woo Hoo!

  9. These ethnicity questions are kind of a joke. Ok, so why shouldn’t she put American Indian if she thinks she has some? I remember for my Skype location, I put down U. S. Outlying Islands (having Manhattan in mind, of course). So what?

And if you believe that the idea that institutions should try to achieve some sort of racial or ethnic balance is dumb, then all the more reason to applaud someone stretching the truth, or even lying, on these forms.

  10. These ethnicity questions are kind of a joke. Ok, so why shouldn’t she put American Indian if she thinks she has some?

On forms that ask ‘Place of Origin?’ or similar, I often put Africa. On the grounds that if you look far enough back, we all came from there.

  11. I prefer to go “Beyond Lucy.”

    I’m thinking Primordial Ooze.

Or maybe I rode in on a meteor.

The question of race has no place in an egalitarian society. But that doesn’t excuse Warren for lying for personal gain.

  12. Kamala Harris slept her way to the top of the California Democrat party with the Kingmaker Willie Brown. We elected the politician we deserved in California.
