To know her is to dislike her

Bit of a problem for a politician:

Elizabeth Warren continues to underperform among voters who know her best

  1. Reminds of David Campese of whom it was said that he was well liked by everyone who’d never met him.

  2. You could say that voters have… [PUTS CSI SHADES ON]… reservations… about Senator Pocahontas.

    What a choice though, eh?

A University of New Hampshire poll finds Sen. Bernie Sanders leading the 2020 New Hampshire Democratic primary with 26% to former Vice President Joe Biden’s 22%. Sen. Kamala Harris rounds out the top three with 10%. Sen. Elizabeth Warren comes in fourth with 7%.

A septuagenarian socialist who’s never had a real job.

A septuagenarian sex pest who literally has brain damage.

A mystery meat Mocha Hillary who stands for nothing and can’t even say if she’s black or not.

Senator Wigwam O’Bullshit, who has a 1/1024th chance of becoming president.

Trump is going to crush these people like an Abrams tank rolling over a clown car made of tinfoil. Bigly!

  3. I love the characterization that Bernie and Fauxcahontas are ‘quite progressive.’

So CNN progressives say communists are ‘quite progressive.’ What, regular progressives are just socialists?

Accurate descriptions, Steve. But don’t count any of them out. They will get the full backing of the legacy press. And the legacy press will continue demonizing Trump up to the election.

Next week, they will report that he parts his hair on the wrong side. And don’t forget, RUSSIA!

  4. Reminds of David Campese of whom it was said that he was well liked by everyone who’d never met him.

When the BBC invited him to present the world cup winning team with some honour on SPOTY Sir Clive was quite rightly apoplectic.

  5. “Polling indicates, however, that Warren has near universal name recognition in the state.”

That’s a good thing? I bet I could name a few other people with that.

Ted Bundy. Bonnie & Clyde. Lee Harvey Oswald.

  6. The biggest danger to Trump would come from a nominal third party run that took more votes off him than off the Dems. Perhaps that’s what the “never Trump” people are planning.

  7. “You could say that voters have… [PUTS CSI SHADES ON]… reservations… about Senator Pocahontas.”

    *applause*

  8. Gamecock – For sure. And that’s not nothing, though the media shot its wad in 2016 and is trusted even less today, while President Trump is now the incumbent, with all the benefits that go with it.

After four years of pretty good economic conditions and DRUMPF’s stubborn refusal to do anything Hitlery despite all the insane screeching from the Left, I expect he’ll be reelected.

    JuliaM – Kek

Pat – that’s the plan, and last time Bill Kristol dug up a 40 year old never-married Mormon with two Moms. Egg McMuffin couldn’t even win Utah.

Maybe if they got perennial loser and Johnnycab lookalike Mitt Romney to run, but I don’t think there’s much of a market for empty suit “conservatives” anymore, as our own fake conservatives will find out very soon in the inevitable Jezageddon.

BOM4 – Thank you! Please try the fish.

  9. As Hilary showed with Bernielast time they have their preliminary system rigged with party grandee votes to the point where the process is really a waste of time

With the single exception of Hillary Clinton, there isn’t a politican in the USA with a more grating personality than Elizabeth Warren. Add to that her integrity issues and elitist background and it’s hard to see how she would do well in flyover territory. She’s built for the coasts and nothing else. Her biggest problem is that she’s so grating that even those who should like her don’t.

As to a Republican challenger to Trump? There will be at least one. My personal bet is that it will be John Kasich of Ohio, and I also bet it will go nowhere. Mitt Romney will not challenge. He’s already put his toe in the water, and by all accounts the negative blowback he received came as a surprise to him. Bottom line? Romney’s a country club pussy, and the idea that he’d fight hard and fearlessly wade through a ton of shit to win the nomination is laughable.

I found Obama more grating. He couldn’t even look into the camera when reading the teleprompter to me.
