Jeez, they’re desperate, aren’t they?

Now we know why. For the Mueller report is packed with damning proof that Trump and his team cheered on the “sweeping and systematic” Russian attempt to sway the 2016 presidential election, that they expected to “benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts”, that they actively planned campaign strategy around each new release of emails hacked from Democrat headquarters by Russian intelligence, emails helpfully funnelled through WikiLeaks. (Mueller has the documents that show Julian Assange telling his acolytes as early as November 2015 that “we believe it would be much better for GOP [the Republicans] to win”.)

What’s more, Trump folk including the candidate’s eldest son met a Kremlin emissary promising dirt on Hillary Clinton; a Trump aide tried to establish a back channel to Vladimir Putin’s government; and all the while, the Trump campaign denied there was any Russian effort to meddle in US democracy. Still, none of this rose to the level of a crime for Mueller because “collusion is not a specific offense … nor is it a term of art in federal criminal law”. Mueller chose instead to set the bar so high that it was bound to be out of reach: he needed to see proof of an actual “agreement” between Trump and the Kremlin to break the law to fix the 2016 election. Absent that, Trump was off the hook of criminal misconduct.

Cheering on someone dishing your enemies is to be made a crime now is it?

And where does that leave Hillary who originally commissioned the report about the pee pee tape?

Freedland’s actual complaint being just because Trump didn’t break any laws doesn’t mean we can’t find him guilty.

  1. What is this? Quintupling down?

    After nearly three years of a slow-motion coup attempt against the democratically elected President of the United States, a process which began with the Democratic Party commissioning a dodgy dossier of pee pee erotic fiction, the Obama administration parlaying that into an illegal spying operation against the other party’s candidate during an election campaign, and then the appointment of a special prosecutor -ostensibly to investigate non-existent “Russian collusion”, but actually to goad Trump into doing something that could be construed as “obstruction” by harassing everyone he’d ever worked with and repeatedly threatening to jail the President’s children – they came up with the square root of fuck all on Trump.

    Yet Mr Freedland, apparently channelling anti-Semitic stereotypes, somehow pretzel-logics this shameful episode into a call to crucify an innocent man and elevate Barrabas Hillary in his place.

    For the Mueller report is packed with damning proof that Trump and his team cheered on the “sweeping and systematic” Russian attempt to sway the 2016 presidential election,

    A sweeping and systematic attempt that amounted to spending a few thousand dollars on Facebook ads, and unproven (and unlikely) allegations that the DNC’s email leak was a Russian hack rather than a disgruntled insider.

    that they expected to “benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts”, that they actively planned campaign strategy around each new release of emails hacked from Democrat headquarters by Russian intelligence,

    How dare a political campaign try to benefit from pertinent information!

    emails helpfully funnelled through WikiLeaks. (Mueller has the documents that show Julian Assange telling his acolytes as early as November 2015 that “we believe it would be much better for GOP [the Republicans] to win”.)

    Imagine thinking you’d be better off if Trump won, as opposed to the deranged alcoholic woman who asked if the CIA could murder Julian Assange by drone strike, and was prepping for wars with both Russia and China.

    What’s more, Trump folk including the candidate’s eldest son met a Kremlin emissary promising dirt on Hillary Clinton;

    A ‘Kremlin emissary’ who was actually working for Hillary Clinton and engineered a meeting with Trump Jr to manufacture ‘evidence’ for the coup attempt.

    a Trump aide tried to establish a back channel to Vladimir Putin’s government;

    Dunno if he’s referring to Papadopoulos (a junior staffer who was entrapped into meeting an MI6 asset on the pretext of discussing the Israeli energy market), or Flynn (who reached out to the Russians after the election as part of the normal transition activities of any incoming administration).

    But either way, Jonathan Freedland needs asbestos pants on account of all the incendiary lies he tells.

  2. All of this, whether true or not, has virtually zero impact on the political or economic life of us in the UK.

    Yet there are sections of the UK media that frot themselves into a greasy lather over every single aspect of Trump’s daily activities. “ooh, look! Trump over-boiled his egg”, “ooooooh! Trump’s shoelace came undone”.

    Meanwhile the United Nations list 40+ country’s as dictatorships, where political opponents are routinely arrested, where there’s none of the sexual freedoms enjoyed by ‘alternative’ lifestyles we take for granted in the west, where anyone trying to block city centre traffic would be bludgeoned to death by police.

    The US is not one of those 40+ countries.

    Yet we hear virtually nothing of the real every-day crimes the left is supposed to care so much about.

    Careful Steve, over Easter we must be especially sensitive to the feelings of our semitic brothers.

    Ironman is e’en now recommissioning the Nuremberg courthouse.

  4. This bodes well for the America’s future.

    The Dems platform is an equine corpse.

    Orange Man Bad is going to win them nothing outside of California.

    So I’m left wondering . . . how are the Republicans going to screw this up? They always find a way.

  5. This is all inside the beltway bullshit.

    Nobody in flyover territory cares a lick, as CNN’s ratings amply prove.

    I assume your hebephrenic outburst means something to you.

  7. One BBC report did mention that a lot of the public felt that the report overstepped the mark and was not an investigation into interference and collusion but trying to guess trump and others state of mind to manufacture evidence after the fact

  8. “how are the Republicans going to screw this up? ”
    I heard Sarah was on the comeback trail, perhaps that’s how they eff it up.

  9. K. Sarah Palin is a great person. The Lefty media attack stuck. Any Republican candidate will be attacked by the Lefty media. I don’t think the Republicans should pick their candidates on what the Lefty media wants.

    That’s one of the great things about Trump. The Left doesn’t approve. We picked him anyway!
