Libruls is different because reasons

Justin Trudeau’s brownface scandal is bad. But voting him out isn’t the solution
Moustafa Bayoumi

Obvious, innit?

Why? Because racial pantomimes are not really about costumes or humor but are about power, the power to degrade the people of another race, the power to ridicule the manners of another ethnicity, and the power to make racism look like it’s all just good fun.

So hang him, right? The answer, amazingly, being no. Because different, see?

  1. Funny. I always thought such racial brouhahas were about the power to smite your insufficiently left-wing political enemies. And that article certainly confirms that analysis…

  2. Trudeau went to a fancy dress party, that is all. His costume and make-up were entirely appropriate for the occasion.

There should be no apology. The offended people should be offended more by being told to fuck off.

A common theme for parties is ‘vicars and tarts’.

At these parties the ‘vicars’ will often dance with, kiss, fondle, and in some cases, but in private, have sex with the ‘tarts’

    This is Cristianophobia.

    Where us the outcry?

  3. Hold him to the same deranged standards he holds others to. Make the fuckers play by their own rules.

Anyway, obviously everyone has noticed the Left’s attempts to change it to “brownface” instead of “blackface”. Having built up “blackface” to be a supreme evil, to apply it to their own hero is obviously intolerable, even in denial like this.

  4. Yeah where did this brown face thing come from? It was always black before.

This is hilarious, you couldn’t make it up.

He deserves to lose, not for the brownface, but for the hypocrisy

  5. There are already three different instances, with photos, of his blacking up. He has declined to state that there will be no other examples discovered.

Sounds like some sort of strange psycho-sexual obsession to me.

Anyway, what can you expect from someone called Justin?

  6. Both Adam Carter and Rob are correct.

In a sane society it should not matter.

But we live in a marxistic shithole. So let the leftist bastard have it good and proper. He would be in the baying mob against anyone else and the present outcry will help free Canada from the grip of an evil leftoid shitehouse.

Have we hit peak toss pottery yet? (I need to know what to do with the popcorn shares?)

  8. Inshallah, it is written that if the Mountie lets in lots of Mohammeds, he is halal until he no longer serves his purpose.

  9. In primary school in the 1970s I wore a dressing gown and towel on my head to play the inn keeper in the school Nativity play. I hang my head in shame.

  10. I think the “brownface” term was used after the first photo was discovered where he was larping as Aladdin or some generic middle-eastener. “Blackface” wouldn’t have been apt at that time.

  11. “Have we hit peak toss pottery yet? (I need to know what to do with the popcorn shares?)”

Judging by the occasional leak on to my Twatter timeline your wise investment will be good for a long time.

  12. If, as appears to be the case, the term brownface is acceptable then surely all references to BO being the first black president must be revised. He isn’t black, not even close to it, he’s brown.

  13. Thinking back, jgh is right. The nativity plays I appeared in/saw at primary school were stuffed with anti-semitic tropes (eg wicked capitalist inn keeper refusing unmarried mother shelter etc ).

I suppose nowadays Mary and Joseph are fugitives, ‘cos the evil Zionists have burnt down their refugee camp. Ha ! Good luck fleeing to Egypt these days !

  14. Mea Culpa. When I was about 8 my mum’s cousin brought me back a keffiyeh from Kuwait where he worked in the oil industry. I have to confess I wore it as an Arab at a fancy dress do at the local church. What penance do you commentards (and our host) think I should endure, since as well as the cultural appropriation, I also insulted The Prophet by posing as an Arab at an overtly Christian celebration. Please don’t insist I confess to Afua Hirsch…

  15. Trudeau is an airhead who follows woke fashion because he has never had a thought of his own. He’d love to be really brown.

  16. ‘I think the “brownface” term was used after the first photo was discovered where he was larping as Aladdin or some generic middle-eastener. “Blackface” wouldn’t have been apt at that time.’

And would that courtesy have been extended to Literally Hitler or Justice Kavanaugh? Pull the other one.

  17. A colleague was whining about Trump and I commented it’s funny she keeps calling him racist and it’s her PM that’s the one running around in blackface. The look of confusion while she tried to figure out an answer before giving up and dying nothing was amusing.

  18. This has nothing to do with Justin Trudeau and everything to do with Moustafa Bayoumi. No sane person would give a fuck about Trudeau wearing blackface. Period.

Bayoumi is a 21st century House Negro. As such, he has two intertwined missions in life: (1) Defend his master, and (2) Defend his position (i.e., do what it takes to avoid ending up a Field Negro). The Trudeau situation gives him the chance to do both.

Given that Trudeau is a special sort of sanctimonious prick, it’s fun to see him with his ‘woke’ trouser around his ankles, but to take it any further than that is participating in The Stupid.

  19. “Given that Trudeau is a special sort of sanctimonious prick, it’s fun to see him with his ‘woke’ trouser around his ankles, but to take it any further than that is participating in The Stupid.”

Nope, its the equivalent of Bomber Harris turning Germany to rubble in 1944/45 after the Luftwaffe started area bombing in 1940/41. When your opponent starts using an ‘unfair’ tactic/weapon on you, and winning with it, you don’t refuse to retaliate because ‘its not the done thing’ you give it back to him in spades. Then he might change his views on what is and what is not acceptable.

The Right have spent 40 years fighting under the Geneva Convention, while the Left ignored it entirely (except when it suited them of course) and look where thats got us.

  20. I quote my comment on FB
“I’ll play fair with Liberals when they play fair with everyone else, John. We have Larry Summers fired (forced to resign) from Harvard for stating an obvious truth (but one unpalatable to progressives), and Tim Hunt pilloried for an off-hand comment. If this had been Scheer or Harper [present and past Canadian conservative leaders] in blackface the Liberal attack machine would have gone into high gear, and your smarmy little puke would have been all over them accusing them of being racists and Nazis.

“Don’t like it? – just stop doing it.”

  21. @jgh September 21, 2019 at 12:36 pm

I remember those dressing gown and towel costumes at school & church in 60s & 70s

Never wore one as never in play – didn’t want to be

  22. What a prat” – excellent

‘Woke, sanctimonious’ Justin Trudeau ‘smashed by all sides’
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhlRpn8IkGs

Trudeau was not a young student, he was a 29 year old teacher – be woke, promote woke – then must live woke.

Bayoumi’s word salad to explain to “peoplekind” why it’s not PC, SJW, Woke Left hypocrisy is laughable

  23. “Larry Summers fired (forced to resign) from Harvard for stating an obvious truth (but one unpalatable to progressives)”: or perhaps at least as likely, lots of people who loathed Summers for various different reasons spotted that he could be forced out for having been anti-PC.

It’s bit like Cheney admitting that having said that the Iraq War was about WMD was just a case of seizing the chance to promote one reason above others because it was a nice simple case to make that would usefully unite people who wanted the war anyway.

  24. Yep.

    Live by the woke sword.

You should have your testicles removed by the rusty blade of a woke sword left out in the rain for a fortnight.

  25. Andrew Coyne explains the problem with Justin nicely.

…lots of people who loathed Summers for various different reasons spotted that he could be forced out for having been anti-PC

But that’s just the problem, isn’t it – that lots of people who don’t honestly give a shit about racism, or women in STEM, or whatever cause du jour can use non-woke speech or actions as a cudgel – strangely, only against generally conservative, and usually white opponents. It spares them the effort of presenting their real arguments (which might be exposed for shoddy thinking). and achieves their ultimate aim by stealth. The right answer to such people is “go fuck yourself” (even if not expressed so directly) – which is why Trump remains popular.

  26. Pcar, I think that you are in denial.

Put a towel on your head
    Sing some carols
Release your inner shepherd or Wise Man

  27. Adam Carter

“Trudeau went to a fancy dress party, that is all. His costume and make-up were entirely appropriate for the occasion.”

Not really ‘all’. The simple truth is that Trudeau is a completely straight adult male who absolutely loves to play dress up.

It’s the one thing that has been consistent about him since records began. Any chance he gets, he will play dress up. I believe it to be absolutely his favorite thing.

  28. Re: David Moore
Well, he was a substitute Drama teacher as well as a ski instructor. The Canadian blog, smalldeadanimals.com term him Prime Minister Zoolander and Sparkle Pony for oblivious reason.

  29. @Ottokring

    In Denial?

Nope. I enjoy singing, but can’t sing – the noise I make is so bad children stare at me and adults quietly laugh.

Drove music teacher mad at school as I decreased volume as he approached until miming, then increased as he moved on.
