Give over Honey, seriously?

Hillary Clinton has said Russia, which interfered in the US election she lost in 2016, is “grooming” a Democratic candidate for a third-party run next year, signalling she believes congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard could fill the role.

The goal of this would essentially be to divide the US electorate and help Donald Trump win re-election, Clinton said. In the interview, Clinton also said she believes Russia had compromising information, or kompromat, on Trump.

“I’m not making any predictions but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who’s currently in the Democratic primary, and they’re grooming her to be the third-party candidate,” the former secretary of state told David Plouffe in his “Campaign HQ” podcast without providing evidence.

“She’s the favorite of the Russians. They have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far.”

You lost because not enough people wanted to vote for you. There was no grand conspiracy.

But you’re going to use that accusation to try to continue to run the Democratic Party. Retiring gently to the farm like Cincinnatus would benefit the Republic rather more.

  1. See Tulsi’s reaction on Twitter

    Glorious doesn’t do it justice.

She might need bodyguards to stop her committing suicide though:-)

  2. The weak minded guilty projection.

That is all Top Lefties are now.

Any conspiracy was by her for her benefit. Therefore, when she lost despite cheating, lying and spying, Trump must have cheated, lied and spied harder.

I hope her many many criminal activities are uncovered before she passes on.

  3. ulsi is the best prospect for any sensible democrat party. But not this one. She is not liked by the DNC, and probably won’t get a look-in. She isn’t free of the infection of socialism but she isn’t an actual nutcase.

  4. RichardT,

Yes. Worth a listen, she’s been on Joe Rogan’s show and the Rubin Report. They’re soft interviews but she explains herself well. She anti America’s never ending wars which is why she’s hated.

  5. Tulsi Gabbards biggest offence in the eyes of scum like Clinton, is that she’s not in favour of the never-ending war in the Middle East.

  6. Gabbard’s response is epic and has, in and of itself, ended any thoughts that Hillary is a viable candidate in 2020.

It’s worth noting that once again, Hillary Clinton has demonstrated her complete and utter incompetence in matters political. She’s allowed herself to be destroyed by a candidate that can’t break 5% with registered Democrats.

  7. Classic deflection. The State Department report on the classified documents on her server has just come out. Send the press off baying in a different direction.

  8. Hillary Clinton has withdrawn from next week’s Fortune Most Powerful Woman Summit in Washington DC. Tulsi Gabbard is scheduled to be there.

  9. And what does the report say??

Hundreds of violations by dozens of individuals. But no “deliberate mishandling” of information.

So Hillary and her crew were simply stupid and incompetent… As opposed to stupid and evil.

    I know I feel better.

  10. Tim, you’ve got it seriously wrong – Hillary lost because so many people wanted to vote *against* her – over 60% of Trump voters said their main reason for voting for Trump was that he was not Hillary Clinton.

Great! Thank you @HillaryClinton. You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out from behind the curtain. From the day I announced my candidacy, there has been a …
… concerted campaign to destroy my reputation. We wondered who was behind it and why. Now we know — it was always you, through your proxies and …
… powerful allies in the corporate media and war machine, afraid of the threat I pose.

It’s now clear that this primary is between you and me. Don’t cowardly hide behind your proxies. Join the race directly.

  12. 1983: Labour writes the longest political suicide note in history

2019 (2015?): DNC starts the longest political suicide in history.

Putin must be looking round at his aides and asking which one started this and they’re all shrugging their shoulders with a “not me, but wish I had” shrug.

  13. Tim, you’ve got it seriously wrong – Hillary lost because so many people wanted to vote *against* her – over 60% of Trump voters said their main reason for voting for Trump was that he was not Hillary Clinton.

And it would never dawn on you that perhaps the 60% voted *against* Clinton because they preferred Trump’s policy positions to hers… without articulating it as such? One critical reason for disliking a politician is because you dislike their policy positions. Beyond her disagreeable personality and baggage of personal and spousal corruption, there were genuine (and profound) differences in the sort of policies they were going to pursue. Hillary Clinton never managed to effectively articulate why her policies were superior to Trump’s. Trump, on the other hand, did an excellent job of it.

    As Timmy would say… Sigh

  14. “So Hillary and her crew were simply stupid and incompetent… As opposed to stupid and evil.”

Isn’t classified stuff a strict liability type offence where stupidity and incompetence isn’t a defence or a mitigation

  15. @ Dennis
    No.
They were offered umpteen different choices for why they voted for Donald Duck, including his policies (and some of them even knew what they were) and over 60% said “He’s not Hillary Clinton”.
It is quite possible that some of them liked Trump’s policies, but for 60+% it was that he was not Hillary Clinton.
The Good Book says that “Virtue hath its own reward” but even in the USA the converse occasionally applies.

  16. Three decades in public life. NOTHING ON THE LEVEL. That’s why I didn’t vote for her.

Two dozen confederates experiencing mysterious/untimely deaths, including one laid out neatly under a tree in Fort Marcy Park. Misappropriated FBI dossiers on 700 of her adversaries, while arranging for any dirt on her to be ready to disappear in Bit Bleach.

Pennsylvanians et al didn’t because she vowed to close down the mines. Michiganders et al didn’t because she didn’t campaign there. Lots didn’t because she called them “deplorables.” (Yeah, that was supposed to be private, but likewise Romney’s comment that a working majority was predisposed not to vote for him because they were getting Free Loot.)

I wouldn’t discount the idea that people don’t want to say anything “inappropriate” even in an anonymous exit poll. “He’s not Hillary” is less likely to be seen as a Nazi, Alt-right, literally Hitler, Neanderthal (etc) than any other response. It is also shorthand for “he pisses off the people who I enjoy seeing pissed off.”

  18. Tim, you’ve got it seriously wrong – Hillary lost because so many people wanted to vote *against* her – over 60% of Trump voters said their main reason for voting for Trump was that he was not Hillary Clinton.

Three years on, still not Hillary. Sounds like Trump is continuing to deliver on the “not Hillary” Prime Directive of his administration. All else is noise.

  19. Correct, BniC.

‘But no “deliberate mishandling” of information.’

A head fake. Intent is not a consideration. Hillary’s defenders act as if it is.

Plus the fact that it WAS DELIBERATELY MISHANDLED! It’s a lie, anyway.
