I always rave about having been in the German health system which offers oodles of choice and private provision, but with mandatory insurance. Every contact we have with the NHS, and yes, even private consultants who also work for the NHS, have us pining for the Germans. (Not something we find ourselves wont to do otherwise.) So Much For Subtlety December 11, 2007 at 3:27 am Yes but think of the people put out of work. As private sector membership in the Trade Union movement declines it becomes more and more a movement of Civil Servants. They have their own Party: the Labour Party. Britian is basically run by the Welfare-Industrial Complex at the moment. And a massive industry it is too with the government taking almost 50 percent of GDP and most of that going on welfare. Once you start down this road, lots of social workers will see their jobs at risk. Therefore, there’s no chance of it happening. Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
