There was a hermit named Dave Who kept a dead whore in his cave. He said, “What the hell–you get used to the smell and look at the money you save!” Thom January 15, 2008 at 12:37 pm So the traditional Christian view of remaining celibate before marraige has some merit in a scientific context other than the obvious to do with STD transfer? Who da thunk it? A curious observation but not entirely without merit – I wonder what will happen when the male pill becomes common place? A rise in domestic violence rates perhaps? Eva January 15, 2008 at 1:04 pm Actually, this isn’t *new* news, but a couple of years old, and applies only to sexual attraction, which for most people (well, women anyway – can’t speak for the other half) isn’t the only factor that keeps marriages together. Also, don’t the majority of divorces take place after children have already been born? Presumably most women would then be back on the Pill, unless they’re Catholic or masochists. john b January 15, 2008 at 4:33 pm “I wonder what will happen when the male pill becomes common place?
