  1. Fucking hell, Randall is an ignorant bastard. How can people possibly claim the BBC is left-wing, when it employed someone as lead business correspondent whose sole skill is the uncritical repetition of meaningless Tory talking points?

[unless the cunning lefties at the BBC employed Randall solely -because- he discredits the right-wing cause and makes business look like the home of ignorant dickheads. Aha!]

  2. ” How can people possibly claim the BBC is left-wing, when it employed someone as lead business correspondent”

Leaving aside the cheap point about the tories not really being very right wing, I guess people mean on balance, more BBC reporting is left wing biased than right wing biased. I do not suppose most people who level such allegations are claiming that every single peice of output is leftwing biased, or that there is no output that is right wing biased.

  3. My bracketed thing was in jest, but I’ve that the likes of Randall and Gilligan, who talk ignorant populist crap with a right-wing slant and yet fit/fitted in well at the Beeb, are good indicators of its real leanings.

While these may get mistaken for political bias, that isn’t quite right – its mainstream output doesn’t so much lean to left or right, but towards oversimplification to appease the (perceived) idiots watching.
