So I\’m sitting here in this nice new (to me) office and I cannot get my spiffy little netbook to connect to the network.
Obviously, the router itself is working as on this other computer I can access the net.
And yes, it is indeed a wi fi enabled router. But will that netbook see it?
Nope.
Now could this have something to do with hte USB modem that was recently installed?
Update. Ah, there\’s a switch you have to press to get it to look for Wi Fi.
Still hate computers though.

If your notebook couldconnect to the net before you installed the USB modem, probably.
Personally I wouldn’t use a USB modem, I’d connect between the modem and PC with ethernet. It’s a lot less hassle.
Agree completely. Ethernet just works.
I bet its one of these switches you need to press every single time you switch on the netbook.
Never mind, Tim. Its all the fault of the EU.
You cannot poissibly hate computers as much as me! It`s click here, submit, close, exit, login, logoff, enable, disable, install, activate. HAD ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
