Umm, Naomi?

During boom times, it\’s profitable to preach laissez faire, because an absentee government allows speculative bubbles to inflate. When those bubbles burst, the ideology becomes a hindrance, and it goes dormant while big government rides to the rescue.

Umm, haven\’t you just written a great big book that argues that it is in times of crisis that the free market ideologues push their anti-government mantra?

Might there not be some inconsistency in your writings? Just, umm, maybe?

  1. I think Naomi Klein is one of those people who are genuinely unable to think analytically. I don’t mean that as an insult but as a straight description. Just like some people can’t sing, and its painful to listen to them try, some people can’t think analytically, and its painful to hear them try. Ms Klein seems to also be tone deaf to reason; she can’t think analytically and she lacks the ability to see that she can’t.

Watching Ms Klein argue is like watching some of those people on pop idol and similar programs who just cannot sing. You sit there open mouthed thinking: are you just having a laugh or are you genuinely unable to see that you lack an ability to sing?
