Err, yes there is. So that the taxpayer gets gouged less so that other people can live in the country but work in the city.

mmm…how about rail companies should try to live within their means…therein lies a thought
It is middle class welfare. The middle classes pay a lot in taxes. They want to live out in the Green Belt or beyond and for someone else to pay for it.
Reasonable enough I suppose.
