SASKATOON, Saskatchewan (Reuters) – Six high-risk prisoners escaped a Canadian jail last summer after spending four months chipping a path to freedom with nail clippers and other makeshift tools, according to a government report released on Thursday.
Ha! Makes Andy Dufresne look like a real wuss. Six months? “I remember thinking it would take a man six hundred years to tunnel through the wall with it. Andy did it in less than twenty”
Oops – learn to read – four months! Even worse! Still, I suppose it’s two man years.
The crims escaped in time for the recession and credit crunch.
Ah. Their court system takes almost as long as ours if the alleged perps had four months in which to work their escape from a remand prison.
Perhaps they would have been put in a more solidly built facility had they been put on trial sooner.
