Got to say the 419 ers are inventive at least.
I really like the way he’s asking for dollars instead of pounds for a trip to England, not even the scammers want our currency.
My family all got a similar 419 claiming to be from my wife’s uncle.
His email account was compromised and they sent an email like this to all his contacts claiming he was in London but had lost his wallet.
Given he was in Chicago recovering from major surgery this wasn’t likely, but they did an incredibly good job, even replying with (correct) personal details when challenged to prove their identity…
Almost be worth sending them 1500 Zimbabwean Dollars for their cheek.
Didn’t Jack Straw get done in a similar scam?
Or rather his constituents?
My e-mail address and password was stolen by a similar hacker (who pretended to be a hotmail.com office) presumably from Nigeria in West Africa a week ago, and he managed to steal $3,000 from one of my poor but sweet friends through Western Union in England. So I had to reimburse her the money that she lost by this scam. Folks, be careful!!!
