Something for the rich at last from this government!

Students could avoid paying tuition fees if they waive their right to grants and loans…

So if you\’ve enough family spondoolicks that you don\’t need a loan or a grant then you don\’t have to pay fees either!

Way to go!

  1. If any of us want to save some money for our own, or our family member’s higher education, we should be able to offset that against tax. It should be extra to our tax free personal ISA type savings allowance. That would be for a named identified student (with parental permission of course).

  2. @1 why the blazing hell should saving for HE be taxed different from saving to start a business, to buy a house, or to go on a drug-fuelled ‘self-finding’ holiday in Thailand?
