Ian Wright MP: Twat

An education minister has claimed that the reason independent schools achieve such high grades at A-level is the “narrow focus” of their curriculum compared with that of state schools.

That\’s right, indpendent schools spend so much less time on sports, music, drama, and all the other extra-curricular stuff, don\’t they.

No wonder the State education system is a shambles when one of the people in charge of it is incapable of simple observation of the world around him.

  1. So Much For Subtlety

He probably meant drug use, stabbings and statutory rape.

Although, in all fairness, such things are not unknown at Eton.

He isn’t incapable of simple observations of the world around him.

    He is a barefaced liar.

  3. The picture accompanying the Times article doesn’t do him any favours. A smug visage more deserving of being smacked repeatedly with a claw hammer it is hard to imagine.

  4. But it is a narrower curriculum. There isn’t any shite with trying to offer A levels in Squirrel Management, media studies, Gender reassignment and sociology and all the other assorted crap that must clutter up the timetable no end.

  5. His latest thought is that GCSEs are robust and rigorous, whereas International GCSEs, used by those dreadful public schools, are inferior. This man is obviously a complete ****hole. Don’t worry, however, in six months or so he will be out of government.
