Thanks for your response to my question on lithium back in my original comment and in this article – it’s a shame the NYT couldn’t have pointed out the reason for the ‘importance’ of a new lithium source, their article might have made more sense…of course, that would have required them to do more than paraphrase the press release.
So, all in all, it seems unlikely that Afghanistan is going to become a mining camp real soon. Even if it did there’s nothing up there worth $1 trillion, or anywhere near.
Then again posting a few thousand miners up country for a couple of months might sort the Tallies out.
