Apparently these sort of things can boost sales enormously. I knew someone who used to put his book on Waterstone’s Book of the Month stand and even that raised sales significantly. Tijm adds: Most of the Waterstones promotions you have to pay for (unless he was simply sliding his book off the shelf and onto the table!). Amazon, not so much I think.
