There is no shortage of landfill space in the UK

Raedwald proves it.

There is a shortage, or at least a possible future shortage, of licenced landfill space, but that\’s a limitation placed upon us by our government in Brussels. There\’s no actual shortage of usuable space.

Can we leave yet?

  1. I thought the limit was linked to the LACK of land fill in the Netherlands. They had none and had to find alternative, uneconomic ways of disposing of rubbish, so the EU ruled that everybody in Europe had to do the same. Probably my geriatric brain projecting false memories again.

    Tim adds: It might be me who has told you that story, I’ve certainly used it here before. And as far as I know it is true too….
