Maurice Glasman

Not very lefty, is he:

Lord Glasman, the leading policy adviser to the Labour leader, said the country should “draw the line” on immigration and even renegotiate EU rules that allow free movement for migrant workers.

He told The Daily Telegraph that Britain is “not an outpost of the UN” and the needs of the British people must be put first.

Don\’t we have a word, a description, of those who are avowedly national in their socialism?

Between and that Blond character we could have a full blown rerun of, well, if not Musso at least Poujade.

  1. I’d say it’s very lefty. He’d also like to tell you what town to live in and what job to do. It would be more efficient. Probably.

  2. No, not lefty at all. Nasty shitbag; I’d hoped that the death of the Blairite movement would keep bigots like him out of Labour. Garr.

  3. Well the left has never been that keen on foreigners moving in to do the jobs of locals but you don’t hear much about it these days. There were effective colour bars in some industries, connived in by both management and unions. International socialism has always been more of a myth than reality on both left and right.
