Timmy elsewhere

At the ASI.

An excellent reason why we shouldn\’t have a Robin Hood Tax ourselves. Let\’s see how the little experiment goes first, shall we?

  1. That’s odd. I would’ve thought if there would be any tax you’d support, it would be a tax on Robin Hoods.

No, I didn’t read the linked article. Reading is for losers.

  2. One pattern that I have begun to notice, is what happens to the crusaders (for any cause), when some other country takes up their cause. Instead of rejoicing that the experiment to prove their case has begun, they go into overdrive to try to force our government to match the overseas moves. Right now.
There is only one conclusion to draw from this. The faithful know that the results of the experiment will be adverse. But they want to bind us to the same legislation anyway, so it becomes impossible to backtrack.

  3. Hmmm… would a robin hood tax elsewhere by any chance boost our banking industry here? As in attracting traders/banks here over somewhere with an additional tax.
