Quote of the Day

“Have you met the cretins we have in Westminster? Do you think we can be worse than that?”

Nigel Farage.

Knowing both lots as I do I\’ll admit that at times it can be a close run thing. But on average those already there are worse.

  1. So Much for Subtlety

I suggest we get rid of the present system and adopt that of ancient Athens – we pull a name out of a hat, from the electoral list, at random, for each and every electorate in the UK.

A properly representative sample of representatives.

They could not be any worse.

  2. I warm to Farage, I do. There’s a disarming quality to him which I like, and this isn’t the first time I’ve seen it on display.

  3. Surreptitious Evil

It’s like the Beast of Bolsover, Norman Tebbit or Daniel Hannan – a politician unafraid to tell the truth regardless of what it does to their career has a degree of charm. Whether you agree with them or not.

  4. Although the bar is so low that even a slug would struggle to wriggle under it, my answer would still be YES.

  5. I can’t bear it any longer! Who, or what, did Bill Esterson MP chase away? How did he manage it? Ironman? Anybody? Paul Nuttall MEP (UKIP) cretin? This is torture, I won’t be able to sleep tonight.

    Cheers,
    Fatty
