  1. Since even the G8 is getting fed up with tax-relieving losses being onshored and otherwise-taxable profits being offshored something tells me Tim might end up on the losing side of this argument in the long run.

    And so bit by bit our freedom slips away. Originally Russian serfs were allowed to change masters on Saint George’s Day. Actually Saint Yuri’s day but close enough. Then Boris Gudonov prohibited this and tied serfs permanently to their owners.

    The G8 is just following the same logic. They need the cash and don’t want people slipping away.
