We may not have our flying cars yet but Keynes was right about the reduction in work. It\’s just that it\’s been reduction in household work, not market.

  1. Partly we are making far more but much of it is that the amount of state regulatory parasitism is so much greater. The state spends half the money in the economy and regulations probably destroy at least twice that. For example 3/4 of house prices are regulatory (they spend more on lawyers than bricks) and 90% of electricity prices.

    Government regulations are also why we don’t have flying cars, though until we have automated piloting that may be a good thing.
