Timmy elsewhere

At the ASI.

Why is everyone complaining that the nuclear deal is expensive when it’s half the price of wind power?

  1. Half the price now, and as FITs are automatically increased in line with inflation, probably about one third is ten to twelve years’ time… And nucs work at night or when the wind isn’t blowing.. 🙂

  2. Because it is more expensive than nuclear now.
We are paying an awful lot to compensate EDF for the political risk factor.

  3. Tim

Remember Rational Expectations…..this strike price kind of sets it in stone that baseload electricity in 10 years’ time will be twice as expensive as it is now
